I wish everyone some Happy Holidays and good luck finding what you are looking for. I finally got what I was looking for. That was the six track cd of the way out of print Little Fluffy CLouds single. I moved on to some different bands too, like Future Sound Of London and Underworld for example. How has everything been? I haven't been on the Orb list to much because I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. Talk to you later! It will now be down until after the new year. There is no technical reason for it being down. I need the laptop for other things. I occasionally do visuals for parties/raves, and this year for New Year's is no exception -- a 25 foot projector, 3 laptops, 2 VCR's, and a Videonics MX-1! The walls will be dripping! Anyways, I need the laptop for new year's, so I'm not going to turn the OAA up then back down again. Speaking of MP3's, I just started using the coolest little plugin for Winamp called "Pitchfork" if you're like me and want to be able to pitch control and hot start MP3's off your pc so you can put them in your mix, then this is all you need -- and it seems to work perfectly, although it doesn't seem to work with regular audio CD's -- something to do with the directsound output plugin I think. Anyways, it's got a built-in BPM counter that actually works, and you can store BPM measurements with the MP3 if you use the same company's MP3 databasing software. Also, you can calculate the current MP3's BPM's, then calculate your cue'd MP3's BPM's and it will automatically calculate the correct pitch adjustment to beat match the songs -- I think that's pretty freakin cool! It's got nudge, temporary pitch bend, return to zero, etc. You can even run two instances of winamp and mix on your PC without two soundcards or an external mixer (although it's way better to use with two PC's and a mixer). It's in the plugins section on winamp.com; and I'll put it in the utilities directory of the OAA when I bring it back up. Enough rambling...... Happy New Year!
