Dj Food of the Ninja Tunez recording label has been doing that for a while - hence the name of the Coldcut side project (" Food for DJs ") - however, the sounds are a bit more abstract and trip-hop oriented than DJ Olive's stuff, I'm sure. Sometime Tortoise collaborator Bundy K. Brown indeed turns up on "Full Bleed" on Kaleidoscope, the new DJ Food album. > I know - I'm so upset - they aren't hitting > one town in FL - The show should be > excellent...and Kid Koala is always a treat. Kid Koala is indeed a treat, especially live. Looking forward to this show as the first time I saw him was with DJ Food and Coldcut. Also caught him with Mixmaster Mike / Money Mark, but the Coldcut show was even better. Also worth noting is that Kid Koala's live band Bullfrog are on this tour. I recently picked up 5-song self-titled EP by Bullfrog and it's very, very cool. Amon Tobin's on some but not all dates, too. The tour is called Meals on Wheels of Steel, in case you want to keep an eye out for it... I'll be at the Metro/Chicago show... more info/dates at http://www.ninjatune.net/ JG # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orb" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orb@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Apr 2000 11:02:08 -0700 (PDT) From: dRoP Subject: Re: (orb) Answer from Island UK i hope he's not speaking in geographical terms! ;)> steve0 - --- derrien@club-internet.fr wrote: > > Hi, > > The release date is confidential at present JC, but > don't worry - it's not > that far off.... > > Regards, > Miles aka postmaster __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
