I think what it means is that all orders need to be placed by the 20th of june. Meaning that if you want the badorb releases, you need to place your order for them before June 20th, or else there might not be enough left for sale. So what you will need to do, is when the ordering page is up (hopefully next week), place your order for each of the badorb items. (that means you will need to fill the form out again.) We would just like to thank all those who participated in last weekend's event. By all accounts everyone had a great time, although there was nothing out of the ordinary to report. On Smileys list there was no mention of which particular day the Orb (reunion) would be playing at the Zambian Eclipse (Solipse) event. Have they dropped out? As one who has fairly strong visual persistence (and no, it's not due to drug abuse since I've had it all my life:) I have to admit that I enjoy dancing glowsticks *much* more than bright flashing lights that blind me. One of the treasured moments that sticks out in my mind was at a bluegrass festival when a friend of mine decided to twirl her stick to which she had affixed a few industrial strength glowsticks. I was under the influence at the time and hallucinated that I was completely alone in the world except for the throbbing, warm pulse of the music and these crazily twirling stripes of color imprinting themselves across my retinae. ISTR that I spent quite a while laughing like a little child. Happiest I'd been in a long time. So I'm certainly not against glowsticks, particularly when they're wielded in expert hands... > I'm not sure what the point is with stuffing them in your mouth is > though. ?? That's always confused me. You want to have a glowing thing in your mouth that's typically closed so nobody can see it? Huh? They haven't gone away yet... Every now and then some buffoon will resurrect the fad and make it popular for a while. Ugh. > Don't forget the air horns either. So many of my live recordings were > ruined by the wanton abuse of air horns. IMHO these are worse than the fscking whistles. Anyone with an air horn should be dragged out into the street by a bunch of overmuscled jocks (who always dance by thrusting their groins at the nearest living female carbon-based lifeform, it seems) and stomped on until they get blisters or find a party to crash. I can live with whistles even though I hate them. I CAN'T STAND THOSE AIR HORNS. THEY BELONG IN THE HANDS OF RIOT POLICE AND ON LARGE TRUCKS, NOT IN THE HANDS OF RAVER KIDDIES TWO FEET AWAY FROM MY EAR. Maybe I just don't get it, but isn't part of the point of going to a show to listen to (and maybe even *experience*, gee!) the music? So if you're honking an air horn or screeching a whistle, you're so taken up with your own ability to make noise that you don't notice the music? Foo. 'james - -- James A. Crippen ,-./-. And until now has been on a 56k dialup modem (= reeeally slow server) for a few years. There's no particularly specific Orb content there, but watch that space for more in the near future. Most of the funny bits in particular would be interesting to the average Orbfan. Particularly the Weird Band Names, which needs updating. Any suggestions? 'james - -- James A. Crippen ,-./-. He showed us slides of his mission and explained alot about the space program. I also recieved my Rio volt mp3 player today, and threw in orb cd tree disc 3 or 4 into it as background music, it was perfect. I was really impressed with that thing to, I haven't updated the firmware yet but it played through with no problems. There were some beautifull slides of the earth and moon, and he brought some slides of shots of Jupiter also. And shots of the first manned Saturn V rocket, and his crew inside. blah blah blah. anyways I guess he's a resident of Orcas is. also. After awhile, I knew I had seen this guy somewhere I realize he was the guy on the comittie when I applied for my flight scholarship. He was the one poundin' me with all those questions askin' me what I do for the community, askin me all that personal shit I'm doing with my life. I do alot for the community how I present myself in everyday life, and I do alot to help any person who asks or appears to need it.I wonder if he's the reason I didn't get it, fucking navy prick. I never saw that movie 6 degrees of seperation, but somone told me that its about how between you and 6 other ppl there is somone you know connecting you, so if anyone in here may know this guy don't tell him I said that. Did I mention how great it was watching this slide show of space while listening to that Live 92 disc. Btw what happened to orb.thearchive.org or whatever I got up to disc 4 now it appears the site is down, anyone know what happened or where I can get the other two discs, are they on any of the ftp sites? It's been awhile science I looked at mymail and damn this list fills it beyond belief. I still haven't bought a copy of Cydonia yet, but still enjoy listening to my version 2 mp3's, is it really that much different? Alot of ppl went to that Coachella festival, and I read your accounts, ewhen looking up on it I saw something about an Aphex Twin DJ Set, did he cancel, or did hir forget to mention it? Did they also do an ASoC remix? Metal CD Magazine (#11) - What Orb track is on this? Is it a unique remix not released elsewhere? Orbital / Prince / Mike Flowers / Cylob - Chime And 1999 Orb Remixes 12": Don't know much about this except Kris Weston has a remix on it. Is it credited as an Orb remix? Various - Select Cuts From Blood And Fire: This one was a surprise. Has this track ever turned up anywhere else? I'm Alright (Orbing Alright In Dub) (The Orb - Rmx) - 5:08 Sons of Arqa - Govinda's House In The City Of Nine Gates : What track did the Orb remix on this? Various - Space 'n' Bass: Holy SHit!
