Hehe, when I bought my AA1 CDs a few years ago, I got 2 CD1s and no CD2.... I went back to the store but they didn't have any more, and said that they wouldn't be able to get more... so I ended up calling Deviant UK, telling tham about it, and how I needed a CD2.... nice lady answered the phone, said sure, they'll send me a CD2, sorry, etc... Well, a couple weeks later, in the mail, I was the unhappy recipient of another AA1 CD1..... Called them up again, got the same lady, she was apologtic and sent it again... So it ended taking me over a month to get both of the CDs =) It was like the Universe did not want me to get both (as an aside, I have 2 extra copies of CD1, I'd sell them to anyone real cheap, probably shipping costs only) - ---- Jeff A Klein Bottle has zero volume, so we suggest that you do not use it as a personal flotation device. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info orb" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email orb@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 16 Jul 2001 08:33:35 +0200 From: "Dr.Winston O'Boogie" Subject: (orb) The Orb: Aubrey Mixes -- The Ultraworld Excursions UK!!?? Cheers, Rebecca >>Hey kids the tracklisting posted for AA vol. 1 yesterday is incorrect, the one I posted on Thursday is the new mix. Yes it is in stereo and it is Ultra catalog# 1092, but it also has a deviant logo on it. Several of the tracks have samples layered on top of them that I haven't heard before, most notably the Satellite Serenade (which I have the original single of) mix which has weird slowed down voices that aren't on the single or the first pressing of Auntie Aubrey. Also, the Democracy remix is significantly different than the one on the first version of AA, so one of these must not actually be the Russian Tundra Mix. All in all if you are a true Orb fan you will run out and buy the new version of Auntie Aubrey right now. Unfortunately they completely did away with the awesome 64 page booklet and discography, but what are you gonna do? Every time I tried ordering I had trouble even finding where to order. So with time running out I sat down two nights ago and it took me and hour and a half (after three freeze ups about 2/3 of the way through the process). But I finally got my order in for the three discs. What a hassle this is going to be every month. The nice thing is this is going to be pretty exclusive music. Doesn't seem like that many copies will get sold this way. Hope everybody else had an easier time than I did. Edward PS SoCal, anyway going to Area:One at Blockbuster?
