I have a question concerning taxes for married couples living in two different states and each person owning a home. If income taxes are filed jointly, how does the couple determine which home is the primary residence to take advantage of mortgage interest payments as itemized deductions? Or, can both houses be used in calculating the itemized deduction? Are there other tax issues to consider for a two-state couple? I probably have not supplied enough information for anyone to assist me, but I am not really sure what all is involved to know what information to provide. I do appreciate any comments you may have. Many thanks, June jchressanthis@library.msstate.edu - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Feb 2000 10:21:05 -0500 From: Ken Stone Subject: macintax: cannot enter direct deposit info Using MacInTax, I cannot enter the hyphen (-) symbol in the field for the Depositor Account Number for direct deposit of my refund. It seems to be a bug in the program. I was able to enter the hyphen in previous years. Now there is an alert sound when I try to do it.
