'97 For those not currently subscribed to SSa (as opposed to SSt for Somerset Studio - how could Stampington be so silly as to publish two RS-related magazines with the same initials?), I thought that this issue is actually worth buying from the shelf. They have several pages on coffee cards and some are simply stunning, an interesting apple page, instructions on stamping on velvet, some interesting pages of cards that combine photography and stamping (egad - another challenging stamping avenue to be investigated), and an entire glorious page of Magenta-produced cards that are amazing. /\ (o) .\/\ /\ . . . in the darkness, light . . . . \.\/\ / .\ /\.\/. \ /. .\ /\ Kate Whitridge /. \/. .\/ . \/. \ The RubberSnark ./ . . \ . / ..\/\ whitridg@achilles.net ------------------------------ From: owner-rubberstampers@xmission.com Date: Tue, 4 Feb 1997 11:32:23 -0700 (MST) Subject: [none] ------------------------------ From: owner-rubberstampers@xmission.com Date: Tue, 4 Feb 1997 11:32:21 -0700 (MST) Subject: [none] ------------------------------ From: Linda Edwards Date: Tue, 4 Feb 1997 09:32:45 -0900 (AKST) Subject: Magenta Hi All, I've heard mention of Magenta stamps. My son opened up the garage door when I arrived to bring in the trash cans, so I entered the house through the garage, which is not usual for me. Made dinner, watched the news, feed Wyatt and Doc, (now its about 7:00 pm), take the boys to the yard to do their deed and on the way back in, I find a box in the corner of our porch! Oh what a wonderful surprise!! This box is completely stamped with hearts! I am throughly excited and as I opened up the box I can smell the scent of cinnamon......yum..... On the top is a beautiful lavendar/purple card enclosed with a handmade envelope....I love it! Under the card is individually wrapped gifts with the theme of Valetine's Day! I unwrapped---pink, red and off white card stock, Santa Rosa heart stamp, red liquid applique, red heart dollies, a cinnamon sachet, red raised dye pad, red pigment pad, red embossing powder, raspberry cappucino to go with jelly beans and chocolate! I've been blessing with a wonderful SSS! These are great gifts as I don have any of what you sent to me! No doubt, I will be thinking of you when I make my Valentine's Day cards for my loved ones. If you want to subscribe something other than the account the mail is coming from, such as a local redistribution list, then append that address to the "subscribe" command; for example, to subscribe "local-rubberstampers": subscribe rubberstampers-digest local-rubberstampers@your.domain.net A non-digest (direct mail) version of this list is also available; to subscribe to that instead, replace all instances of "rubberstampers-digest" in the commands above with "rubberstampers". Back issues are available for anonymous FTP from ftp.xmission.com, in pub/lists/rubberstampers/archive. These are organized by date.
