Okay, my turn... There may be a lot of advertising, BUT this is a Rubberstamping list is it not? How else are we going find the supplies we need? Some of us don't have the resources within close distance, therefore we have to rely on the vendors here. As for me, one day I may not have the need for what's advertised, but the next day I am. My ideas run different each day and sometimes the ads are the inclination. So I appreciate the advertising done here. Like everyone always says, isn't that what the delete key is for? All done.... (OH, SS... I plan to stop again Fri ... can you arrange another reward??) My SS has taken wrapping lessons from Clarice. I can understand why - the box was wrapped in valentine foil - really neat, and it would have been shredded without all the tape. 3M must love stampers!! And SS, I love the T-shirt! Cat couples doing the Texas Two-Step! When I know who you are I'll explain why I am especially fond of cats in cowboy hats! Long story, nothing to do with stamping. And bath cubes and cappuccino ... they should go together but I'll fess up that I'm not a coffee drinker, but I know someone who would love this ... but the bath cubes will work just fine on their own; I *needed* new bath stuff... almost had to buy some myself .. And for the stamper in me, a pot of daffodils (they are starting to bloom here now and I adore daffodils) a tiny Judi-kins stamp ...4 sided with instructions on it like "open" and "turn page". A little heart book - which is really cute and I can use my "tiny writing" (a recent class) with that... And a whole stack of pink and red paper all tied up with a satin ribbon. When I was 13 I was in Philadelphia on vacation and met Mike Douglas (anyone remember the Mike Douglas show? It was filmed in Philly), Don Meredith (the sportscaster) was a guest and I met him at the pool at the hotel. I was swimming with his son. I also met Tiny Tim (also a guest) and Yul Brenner (also a guest), all at the same hotel. Tiny Tim put my chin in his hand and said "God Bless you, child". We were also on TV during Mike's show. He was filming outside and we were across from the cameras, so we were on for a good 10 minutes! I used to work in the law firm that the governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Ridge, was a partner of before he went to Congress -- Gifford, Lay, Johnson and Ridge. Tom's gotta be one of the nicest people I know. When he runs for president (and I know he will), please vote for him. You'll be glad you did! My childhood friend's cousin was the drummer for Dr. Hook and I got to meet him a few times. I got to meet Kenny Loggins after a concert a few years ago. What a nice guy! Bruce Baumgartner (the Olympic wrestler who carried the US flag at Atlanta) did promos for the McDonald's that was our client when I worked at an ad agency, so I got to meet him lots. He is BIG!! and very nice. Also, the guy who won the "Strongest Man in the World" competition in the late 80's works for the same place that I do. Nice guy and also HUGE!!! I've watched him on TV. At the risk of irritating anyone, I try to keep my HALOS ads to a minimum....but I'm probably going to the opposite extreme because there are so many newbies that don't know about it....so does anyone have any suggestions as to how to handle this. Would a signature line be a solution.....what would be appropriate wording? I also used to distribute Clearsnap products (before I got cut off because I didn't order enough--even though my initial distributor order had to be $3,000). I still do distribute Tsukineko, and Fiskar products, but don't want to step on toes of the many list vendors who also sell these great products, so I don't even advertise these.....but vendors, if you are in business and need a wholesale source for these products, I'd be happy to help you out....even if you are a small home based business. I don't have everything in stock, but if you can give me time to order it and let me know what things you use on a regular basis, I'll try to get them in stock....I currently have all the kinds of Fiskars, the Corner Edgers, and the large corrugators, and the new 12" paper trimmers. I also have a complete stock of Kaleidacolors. Rather than advertise these items to the list, I will usually just respond privately when I see someone searching for these items in their posts. I used to distribute a lot of other things, but HALOS keeps us pretty busy....my reasoning for even getting into the other items was so we could sell at wholesale all the products necessary to do home parties......and that's still the plan. We're getting closer, but it's a big job. Daughter #l is working on getting many of our rubber images on our web page....currently there's only a fraction of them there. Most people are shocked to learn HALOS has rubber stamps, but we sure do....and we're an angel company too. No, we don't have a catalogue ready yet, but that's getting closer too! Didn't mean for this to turn into a commercial. What I was asking is....what is an appropriate way to let people know what you carry without infringing on the other vendor's ads? I am still feeling a under the weather with the flu that I seemed to have picked up, so I gave DH the keys to the PO box yesterday and asked him to pick up my mail. This morning as he was leaving for work, he brings in this HUGE package and says "Oh this came last night too, I must have forgotten". HA! (Actually, he knew that I would stay awake and play with all my new stuff, so I think he forgot it on purpose!). Well, what a surprise to wake up to! My SSS6 and I have been in contact via email, and she asked if it would be ok to send a few months together, since she was having to go overseas for a few months. Of course, anything that I can do to help....and it had nothing to do with wanting everything right away...nothing! LOL Well, I got the biggest box filled with THREE months worth of stuff all individually wrapped with corresponding paper. No, I suppose that a person with self control might have just opened the valentine wrapped ones and saved the rest for later, but not me. I am like the biggest kid on the planet and had to open everything right away! Sit back, if you are still reading cuz I'm going to list everything and this will be awihile!. First of all, I think that my SSS6 is psychic. When I opened the package a huge 16x22 Rotary Cutting Mat popped out at me! I was just looking at one of those a week or so ago in Michaels. I couldn't believe it, I got goose bumps because I know that I didn't mention that to anyone. This is so cool, and now I can cut my windows and shaker cards to my hearts content!. The rest of the stuff was awesome too, here's the scoop: 36 box of Crayola colored pencils (yeah! just in time cuz I have some stamps coming from Stamps Happen that look really cool done in pencils, and I only had a set of 12, these colors are cool! 2 boxes of Stash flavored tea (English Breakfast and Chamomile) I already have water on the stove as I am typing this! A big red metallic mug filled with Hershey kisses to put the tea in! Lovely set of 6 all black cards and matching envelopes Paper doilies and cut out's A new black Marks A Lot--can always use those! 4 cool organizer sheets made of plastic with pockets all over them. I guess some of you all use these for your um's and now I know what they look like! My pockets had stickers in them!. Neat idea too, because I need a better way to organize my stickers. Speaking of stickers, the cutest spring time Pooh stickers I have ever seen! These are so cute I can't wait to use them. 4 Colorbox pig pads (two in easter colors and two multicolors, and none that I already had!) Perfect timing, SSS6 I was just about to go shopping for my Easter supplies! A whole mess of cardstock, papers and exotics in really cool colors. I can't wait to play with the exotics, these are very pretty! You all still there, cuz I'm not even close to being done! LOL A big ANM Wildlife Babies stamp (so cute!) AND three matching babies in smaller stamps! I got the Polar bear, the lion cub, and a seal!. These are too cute to describe! ANM dolphin border stamp (again I think she is psychic, dolphins are my second favorite creatures next to Teddy Bears!) Plus I just go the cutest stamp from PSX about living near the sea and this will compliment it wonderfully! Prang glue pen, which I have never seen, but can't wait to play with. at least a gallon of fine line gold embossing powder (very pretty!) A perfect lavendar polo shirt, so soft and pretty. It will look great with jeans-I love it! A pair of matching lavendar socks which are too cool---I HAVE to know where you got these. They are so thick and yummy. I always have socks on, always. The only time I don't have socks on is when I am in the shower or wearing heals LOL. My feet are little (size 5), but they get sooo cold. I want more of these socks, because I have been wearing them all morning and my feet are nice and toasty! PLEASE tell me where you found them, they are called "golf socks" and I haven't seen those down here. Then I got a beautifully detailed Christmas Stamp of a Frame or Window. (I guess she knows that I will start playing with this soon to perfect the little details in time for Christmas) There are so many cute little animals and presents and bows and stuff bordering the window that I will have a ball with my embellishments! When I opened the next thing,----a brand new 25 color decorative chalk palette---I almost dropped dead. I needed this so badly you have no idea and I have an advanced dry embossing class that I am scheduled for on Sat, so I know that I will be putting it to use soon. I LOVE it!! I can't believe that you knew..... Then there are two presents for my godchild Kayla all wrapped and pretty! I don't know what those are yet, but I have Kayla this weekend, so I'll let you know. That was so sweet of you to think of her--TIA. Now, the best for last LOL This is how I KNOW that she is psychic...first I opened a bar of Dark Chocolate Roca (Dark Chocolate is my absolute favorite candy on the planet. I was happy with the kisses, then I found this, yipee!) and then as if that wasn't enough A Dark Chocolate Godiva!! Is there anything better on earth??? Man, she nailed it on the head!. I can't wait to taste things again, cuz I am saving those puppies til then. How did you know about the dark chocolate??? I think that is everything...my living room is a mass of wrapping paper and colored tissue paper, so I could have forgotten something. I loved every single thing in there, and can't wait to finish this email so that I can start playing with them. I think stamping is good therapy, don't you?? Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! and a special thanks to Darcie for wrapping Kayla's presents all by her self....it is too cute! We have to exchange pictures. I need to know what year Darcie was born in, so email me please, before you go!! Have a super safe trip, and write me again when you get there....enjoy your Valentine's day with your hubby and kiss Darcie for me. Oh, and did I say THANK YOU???
