Here is her decription of Maxine's: I didn't check my mail on Saturday, so just yesterday I got the 7th valentine. This one just had a name Art by Max stamped on the back of the card. Lavender paper with hot pink mulberry paper rectangle with a silver (pen I think) outline around that. Then on the mulberry was a square of glossy paper (also outlined in silver) with a rainbow ink of light purple to rose colors. Kind of a tapestry looking print with a white heart in the center. Very pretty. Also had a few strands of silver thread curling in and out of the layers. I think that one came from California. It was in a cellophane envelope (like one of the others) and the postal mark was hard to read. Thanks again, this has been fun to receive these beautiful cards. Eileen Thanks again to those who sent my friend cards! She really enjoyed each and every one of them!! Smiles, Tricia = ) This message was from KrZ4Stamps@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I had nightmares for a week >that he was gonna crawl across me in my sleep, but my DH finally convinced me >He had probably dried up and turned to dust. This all started about 4 years we lost a weather loach one time.. I don't remember what it's name was anymore, this woulda been '80 I guess.. I always named kuhli loaches after long slender pastas and always wanted to name the weather loaches after sausages but never got my way with that one.. so I don't remember what that one's name was.. the one before that one was in residence before I was, and his name was king richard.. rofl! musta been a guy thang. anyway, we lost this loach.. was the size of a bun-length hotdog (but before they'd been invented), biggest thing we had for sure, and it always bothered us that we couldn't find the thing anywhere.. so we decided squirrel had eaten him.. hard to blame her if the thing had hopped out in to the floor while we were at work, ya know? but when time came to move, we finally did find it.. across the room and down the hall and under a plant. he musta worked way hard to get there, that'd been a lot of swimming for him even in water.. musta took him all day to get that far on hairy land.. he was pretty well covered in rug fuzz and cat hair.. but by then he wasn't anywhere near as big as he'd been when he was.. um.. properly hydrated.. anno (glad this happened before I had a mid-size boy in residence.. I know if happened to find him today, aidan would wanna keep him..) This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I emailed her Thursday evening regarding some stamps that I needed in a hurry. I went to my P.O. Box monday, which was a holiday and the mail didn't even run, and my package was there. I now have stamps to finish a swap I have joined that is due in 1 1/2 weeks. As usual, she included some "free items", cardstock, baby boy tissue paper and a real cute diaper card pattern. I hightly recommend Karen Harris. Jean This message was from Jean Mills - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. NICE I posted the other day (before i had to go off line foe a couple of days) that I received your card jane...and how much I have enjooyed it. You really do very very nice owrk. I was in Kansas City with Stamparoni (Mr. 'Aroni was fixing my computer- AGAIN) over the weekend and just got home this after noon...so I only today saw the Valentine from Debbie.I surely liked it too. Nice job on carving that heart stamp ! Did you use a white erraser or what ? I am going to be getting some supplies for carving and was wondering just what you have found the easiest to work with ? Did you stamp the paper that you used for a background or was it already printed. If you stamped it, or sponged it or whatever...I like it...I just cannot figure out what you did there. I make a lot of the folder cards too and it is nice to get another different type. The ideas are such fun. Thank you for thinking of me ! I had a wonderful time on Valentines Day. The Dinner/Dance was great. I have been working on the darn thing since I found out that I was to be chairman last June. Most everything went smoothly---until about 5:00PM on Saturday when I got a telephone call saying that the hotel had set up the tables incorrectly. They were using 10 tables and we had only allowed for 9 centerpieces...and they didn't put on the long drap type of table cloths...they had balck cloths that only covered the top with about a 2 inch fall on the sides....not too elegant looking. So Ron and i got at the hotel at 5:30 and by 6:15 we had the staff completely reset all of the tables with the correct coverings and had them redecorated. Food was great, presentation of the "Queens" went well and all had a good time. The woman that insisted on taking care of the music (the council president) totaly dropped the ball there...music was awful ! But that was not my problem. It is over and I am happy ! I HOPE YOU GOT YOUR PACKAGE ! I have not heard...but could have lost the messsage because we had to put in a new hard drive...so everything was lost that had already down loaded. And the computer had messed up so that it would download but i wouldnot access it. Have a wonderful week...both of you...and thank you once again.
