Well, I have to admit I went a little crazy in the Pit 'O Rubber at RBBB in Dallas and got stamps that I actually have no idea what I'm going to do with yet - but I need help with one in particular - it may be a dumb question, but here goes.... I got the stamp that has several dog accessories on it-like a leash, dog food, dog bed, flea shampoo, etc. Now, is this a background or do I cut these teeny weeny little things out! If it is a background - could you great people suggest some ways to use it? I really like the thing, just don't know what to do with it! You can e-mail privately as to not tie up the list. TIA! I learn a lot from participating in swaps, but mostly I learn by actually making the cards. I enjoy the process of making them. I do it for me. The cards that I get back are a bonus that is wonderful. But when I send off cards for a swap I let chance take over. So far I have never been disappointed by not receiving them back. BUT I know that it is always a possibility. No matter what I am better off by having made the cards. I feel that I am alone in this attitude. Perhaps (and this is truly a perhaps) as keeper of the vendor list I could delete from the "official list" any vendor that has more than three serious complaints against them. By serious I mean that they were given every chance to produce goods or services but failed to do so within a set time period. (Say two months just to cover all conceivable emergencies or anything else that the majority agree upon.) Complaints could come as PRIVATE e-mail so no one would have to be part of a flame war. Of course,if someone wants to post publically that's their business. I wouldn't count it as a formal complaint though unless it was also privately sent to me. This might lessen the flames (key word might!), yet give people a way to know a little more about the vendor they are considering making a purchase with. How about we "discuss this amongst ourselves" and decide if the majority want some sort of system along these lines. Don't know quite what to do about hostessing. (Nope, I can't take on vendors and hostesses too! *grin*) MissInk Wisdom is knowing what to do next; virtue is doing it. - David Starr Jordan On Thu, 06 Feb 1997 10:06:02 -0800 DragonLady (Laurell Millheim) writes: *************snip**************** > >It would be nice it those who failed to meet their >commitments would abstain from becoming >swap/RR/vendors so that this issue could be dealt with in a >painless manner.
