A public thank you (in addition to private ones!) to all the people who wrote with sources of carving rubber. Two excellent sources are Stampeaz's special carving vinyl (samples--$1ppd.) and Nasco for various sizes of carving rubber. You can e-mail April Pease of Stampeaz at: stampeaz@juno.com or visit her website at www.investorsnet.com/stampeaz You can call Nasco at 8-800-558-9595 Now I have another request. A non-profit organization I'm involved with needs an oversized stamp pad (preferably either blank or in a forest green ink) to use with their large (approx. 5" x 5") logo stamp. I know, I know, we're working on a smaller logo! ;^) We can order them locally from a printer, but they only order linen pads and not raised. I think raised felt pads are better for oversized stamps. Does anyone know a good source for custom or oversized raised pad ink pads? Please e-mail me privately as I'm not subscribed to the list right now. And I promise to get back on soon so I can answer some questions for someone else for a change! (Good karma & all that.....) Yours, Luann udell@top.monad.net no moniker, alas! Guess what I got ? I am all out of breath, ran to this computer to share my excitement. A Cropper Hopper. And it is chock filled with all kinds of wonderful and useful great goodies. SS I love you. I was totally freaked when I saw the PSX Magnolia Flower stamp. I have been eyeballing that for a year wanting it so very much. And now I have it , Wow ! You are the greatest . Ok for all the rest of my new wonderful toys. A long reach Angel art punch , I have the right things in mind to use this for. Now I want more that I know what the Mcgill punch is.A pack of off white dry embossed with small squares cards and envelopes. These are so different and my creative juices are going wild with what I would like to do with these. There is a yard of large gold netting for embellishing . This going to be fun to collage with. Also there are about 2 more yards of fancy ribbon in off white that will add a nice touch to some more cards I am thinking of for Easter. Another yard of beautiful flowered organdy ribbon. I'm set , But that is not all. A bag of beeds to adorn that collage card that is entering my mind at this moment. There are all shapes and sizes. And a glue stick for adding those beeds. And the cool prisma glitter I just found in here. These things hold a huge amount of stuff. Tulip Paper paint now that will be fun to play with. A life like silk orchid how pretty .It will be placed on my work table where I can always see it. Until I come up with a creative use for it. Now that's not all folks! Something for my sweet tooth. Chocolate Hearts and 2 packages of Valentine saying hearts . I will share one pack with my daughter. She loves them too. There is another side to this hopper and it is filled with about 50 sheets of card stock some very fancy and some light colored, what a great variety. And last but not least a package of crystal clear envy's. I'm out of breath from all this excitement. Not a thing will be accomplished today or tonight. I am going to play , play , play. A huge HUG to you my wonderful SSS. This is such a great surprise. This week I finally got set up to make my own stamps. I want to thank everyone who has been so wonderful about taking a leap of faith on a new vendor and ordering cardstock grabbags from me. What I would like to offer now is a grabbag of unmounteds of my 1st plate of rubberstamps for $20.00 which includes shipping in the US. Add $1.00 shipping for Canada, Germany, Great Britain and Ireland. Add $2.00 shipping for Australia and New Zealand. Let me know if I left anyone out. There are a total of eighteen images that fill a 9" x 13" sheet. There are six large ones, 4 medium, 4 small, 2 word type and 2 tiny ums. The large stamps are all large enough to fill the front of a card. These include a frog on a lily pad, a bridge with a stream running underneath, a mountain scene, 2 hummingbirds with flowers, a beach scene with seashells, and a large basket of flowers. The medium stamps include an Indian girl feeding a bird, a boy bunny shyly giving a girl bunny flowers, a feather (like a writing quill), and a sign that says Honeybees Welcome. The small stamps are a cactus, a begging dog, a chick on an egg with a feather in his hat and a butterfly. The word stamps are Handstamped By: and Good Job! The tiny stamps are a bird in flight (perfect for adding to the sky of your card) and a postoid size frog on a lily pad. I accept checks, money orders and Discover Card. I am working on being able to accept Visa and MasterCard but the paperwork is not finished being processed by the bank. I would love to make a grabbag of ums for you or for your SS. If you have any questions you can e-mail me or feel free to give me a call at 316-364-8744. I have a question to the CCCC people, who did I send the Bonsai cat cards to, so I know who not to send to again? That was before I kept track of which card went to whom. Next I told someone I would make one for them and can't remember who it was, and I don't think it was a CCCC person, any one know? Thanks. As you said, the key is the toner itself. Since = ink jet doesn't use toner, don't think it would work but maybe someone = else has info? Leslie "Finger Print-cess" >>> 02/26/98 07:45am >>> I have one of these too, and it is cool. Just remember that it works on photo- copies made in copiers that use TONER (it's the toner that the colored = foil stuff sticks to). I don't think it works on laser copies or ink-jet. I may be wrong about=20 this (anyone know otherwise?) but thought you should consider this when deciding to buy one, in case you're planning to use with an inkjet or = laser copier. The one I have specifically states that it's for use with TONER copiers. It's a Letraset one too, and I've had it about 5 years. Maybe the newer ones are different? = Just some- thing to check into. Robin a message dated 2/26/98 6:36:32 AM Mountain Standard Time, marstamper@juno.com writes: << The Color Wand is a tool that heats, has a stand, and a rubbery pad = which you sit your art work on to help the heat make the foil stick to the paper. YOu lay your art work on the pad, then put the foil on it. Then, you heat it with the wand. A few seconds later, you peel the foil paper off, and the foil sticks to the photcopied area. It is really cool to use! >> This message was from MaVinci2@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
