Most people have flown enough to "know the routine" and don't bother to listen at all. The humor causes you to "tune in" to hear what's being misquoted, and therefore I think jogs your memory about the request. New flyers are usually around more seasoned flyers, who when they see them with the puzzled look, help them out, and I know if you're unsure the flight attendants will take the extra time to give you the info. Personally, the kids and I love the "landing and take off song" to the theme of the Beverly Hillbillies, and we actually call to find out who is the scheduled flight attendant so we can be on their flight, Cleveland to Chicago, we probably know his schedule better than he does . A couple of times we had a real sing along, as the majority of the passengers knew the song, so the flight attendant fooled us on the return weekend trip and changed the words LOL. I am adding scrapbook items for the shop as I go along and have wonderful catalogs but don't know what are the most important items used as I don't do this. There are not that many scrapbookers in the area as this is pretty new here. I have acid free papers, stamp pads, stickers, templates (am getting acid free markers too) and lots of frame stamps. Any suggestions about kits, templates or other items I can stock? There are also samplers and ideas from companies I can order too. Any input would be most welcome and I thank you all for your suggestions. E., This perfectly delightful note is being sent in paper I made myself to tell you what I have been up to. Since it snowed last night, I got up early and made a sled with old barn wood and a glue gun. I hand-painted it in gold leaf, got out my loom, and made a blanket in peach's and mauve's. Then to make the sled complete, I made a white horse to pull it from DNA that I just had sitting around in my craft room. By then, it was time to start making the place mats and napkins for my 20 breakfast guests. I'm serving the old standard Stewart twelve-course breakfast, but I'll let you in on a little secret: I didn't have time to make the table and chairs this morning, so I used the ones I had on hand. Before I moved the table into the dining room, I decided to add just a touch of the holidays. So, I repainted the room in pinks and stenciled gold stars on the ceiling. Then, while the homemade bread was rising, I took antique candle molds and made the dishes (exactly the same shade of pink) to use for breakfast. These were made from Hungarian clay, which you can get in almost any Hungarian craft store. Well, I must run. I need to finish the buttonholes on the dress I'm wearing for breakfast. I'll get out the sled and drive this note to the post office as soon as the glue dries on the envelope I'll be making. Hope my breakfast guests don't stay too long... I have 40,000 cranberries to string with bay leaves before my speaking engagement at noon. It's a good thing. Love, Martha Stewart P.S. When I made the ribbon for this typewriter, I used 1/8-inch gold gauze. I soaked the gauze in a mixture of white grapes and blackberries which I grew, picked and crushed last week just for fun. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= "6th-Sense - The Sense of Humor" Clean humor worth sharing! =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= SUBMIT your CLEAN humor messages TO <6th-sense@xc.org> SEND comments for the 6th-Sense owner TO <6th-sense@clearvista.com> START getting 6th-Sense, SEND "subscribe 6th-sense" TO STOP getting 6th-Sense, SEND "unsubscribe 6th-sense" TO =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING - WARNING =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= "6th-Sense" might be considered funny.
