Yee haa, it was well worth the wait! =20 The way it got to me via our mail room was pretty funny. They called = and said a priority mail package I sent was returned by the post office. = They couldn't tell me why it was returned, but they were adamant that it had = been returned by the PO. I didn't recall mailing a package with this return address, but it wasn't out of the question. I told them to send it up. = It was sitting on my chair when I arrived the next morning (must have = taken the long route from the 1st floor to the 7th). The package did indeed have = my name/address as the return address. It also had my name/address as the recipient address.... In really big letters.... In the middle of the package.... In big black letters on very white paper. I almost laughed myself silly, until I remembered that these people handle all our = mail.. uh oh. I waited till late afternoon to open it (so I wouldn't have to rush). = First thing was a nice long note (love those, keep 'em coming). My SSS is = teasing me with clues, including telling me she's seen one of my cards?!?! = Hmmmmmm, which one, when, I wonder. Anyway, on to the goodies.... Quite the St. Pat's day package. Everything was green, we're talking everything! Because there was so much here's a list (with comments). Unless specified otherwise just add the word "green" before every item: * Tissue paper (big sheets) * Craft baggie of buttons * =BC" Magic Tape (oops, it wasn't green, but will be when I use it!) * Ribbon - 2 1/8" spools in two shades of .... * Tea Rose Shower Gel (the label had green, smells great, already used some, mmmmm) * Glitter EP (yep, that color) * Raised dye pad * 2 Votive candles (to use with the shower gel!) * Pack of 6" round doilies (yep) * Paper Twist * A gift bag (hey, it's white... I can use all my green stuff to decorate it) * A4 envys * Roll of corrugated paper * Bath beads=20 * A bath soak pack, "Romantic Evening" (ooooohhhhhhhh) * You know what color ribbon with gold edging (my high school colors!) * 3 individual serving packs of coffees (Irish Cream, Hazelnut Belgium, & Iced Cappuccino, for during that bath with the candles!, hey three coffees, three bath products!) * Papers: Mulberry, cardstock, flower/seed pressed, a soft gold crumpled paper (a greenish gold, or was that reflection), and the fun = brown (not green) stuff that's slit and becomes 3D when you pull it * Four stamps! A St. Pat's word stamp (as in "Happy..") and a shamrock to go with it, the RBBB "Ruebenesque" showering woman from the back, and the Ken Brown/RSA 4 women in hats looking over an edge (which = has been on my "to buy" list for a while!!). * A bottle of brown flocking (fun, I've never tried it, already made one mess) * And to top it off there was a ton of leprechaun confetti (I do mean a ton!) all over everything! My kids had a great time gathering it all = up for me. Such a list! Anyone jealous yet? Cannot thank you enough, it was = truly amazing and fun! My friends who received their St. Pat's cards also = thank you (because there would have been none without this package!). Always, W. These cards and art work is great! Received a big vinyl window decoration from Diana Knapp, which is really lovely and fun to receive. It came with directions and is truly Delightful! Amanda Bristol made a snowflake decoration also, only it can be hung up. It is also one of the big snowflake stamps, stamped and ep's in silver on dark blue cardstock, laminated and with a silver cord hanger. Lovely! Claudia's card is dark green cardstock with the scene stamped on white caardstock. The scene is an angel putting a halo on a snowman. The angel's gown is trimmed with shiny mettalic silver and shiny gold wings and halo. This might be the new mettalic pens?? Also there are gilttery snowflakes and the saying, "Snowflakes are Angel Kisses" Very Pretty. Another neat card uses an embossed in white snowflake frame to frame a picture of a cute little boy holding a broom! This is a great thing to be able to do with cards. It is on mauve cardstock, the frame being navy blue. Who is the little boy? And who is the stamper? Thank-you!! Stampin Di made a card out of navy cardstock, cut a window out of the center and attached clear plastic. She then stamped a big snowflake and attached it to the front of the windowed plastic and added either glitter or glitter like ep to the window that isn't covered by the snowflake, making it look like a frosty window. And you can kind a see that behind the window is . . . . a snowman! Embossed in white. Clever and very lovely!!! Andrea Lum used eggplant cardstock and layered gold shiny paper over that and a center white cardstock with blue and lanvender embossed snowflakes! You open the card and out pops a big snowflake! Wow! Says, "Snowflake white, small, Dancing melting . None of them are alike. Snow. (Bobby S.) Beautiful. Everyone made interesting and lovely items and I was most impressed! Thank-you so much and Stargazer for hosing. This message was from Bob Richie - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I'm also bummed because we've been out of school long enough that the deduction of student loan interest won't be available to us on next years taxes...that's not fair! They only let you deduct the interest for the first 60 months the loan is in repayment...hmmm...I wonder if the months no payments were due for grace periods and forebearances counts? I'll have to check that out before next year. - -- Laura A. - Poste Pone Queen of the Procrastinators Chino Hills, CA To reach any goal requires that we be unyielding about where we intend to go, while at the same time flexible about how to get there. I went to the grocery store with my 2 year old and 3 month old and proceeded to put the kids in the car and the groceries in the trunk. After putting the little ones in the car, I checked to be sure I had my keys before locking the door. I closed the door, put the cart back in the shopping cart rack and proceeded to open up the driver's door, only to find that my car key was not on my key ring. I had one of those large 2 inch round key rings that kind of snapped together. Apparently when I was hooking my baby's carrier into the base, the key ring must have opened and the key to the car fell off. Well, being it was really warm that day and it was going to take the locksmith about 15 minutes to get there (and DH was about the same distance away), I decided to go ahead and have one of the stock guys from the grocery store break a side window and unlock the door (I have a Ford Escort Stationwagon and it has a small (vent-size) window in the back). I probably would have normally waited for the locksmith, but my baby was on an apnea monitor and I was scared to death something would happen while she was in the car. I've never felt to stupid in all my life with all those people around gawking that someone would actually lock their kids in the car. Was a very expensive mistake on my part though, the window which I thought would cost maybe $50 to replace, actually cost $225.00!!
