CCCC: Fran Robertshaw - I got the cat magnet that everyone is getting. Magnets sure are fun! Barbara Meadows - Kitty drinking out of the toilet. I love IT! It reminds me of a cat I used to have. Only he would fall into the toilet from the window! Patti Welsh - Computa-Cat card. Very different indeed! Toni Brentlinger - She sent the card in a clear envy. This is the second card I've received this way. On yellow cs she layered some sort of paisley paper (sorry, I cannot describe this paper, I've never seen any like it before), it is pretty paper though. Then she foam mounted a cat angel with a star charm around it's necklace. Very ingenious. Inside she put some stickers. Thanks Toni! ****** A couple weeks ago we were all talking about pins and what kind and how many to take to conventions, well Susan Smith offered to mail me one of hers. She did and it's cute!! It's a lady wearing overalls, in her slippers and curlers in her hair holding a rubber stamp (Remarkable and Jim Stephen's). Now I can sort of feel like I was at the Carson Convention. The card she sent with it I absolutely love. I was telling her how I had almost purchased the very same stamp on my venture to Michael's. Believe it or not my hubby was trying to have me get it, but I wanted to get some others first as I was on a $20 limit. It's the stamp of a sun with the rays blowing to the right. I forget who put this out. They're layered on olive cs decorated with gold outline stars. She used photo edgers to put this on kraft column cs. Thanks again Susan! That's all for now. I guess it's time for me to start ordering things so I can get mail everyday! :-) Tina aka TeenyStamper This message was from Brett/Tina VerHulst - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. BUT Netscape keeps crashing on me and I have to do things quickly or else it all freezes. Most of the cards were described before except for Jan Hoyt's. Inside of clear envy were two snack size Snickers (say that three times fast!) with a cute top with a woman thinking Man cannot live by Chocolate alone, but women can! layered on brown paper on top of hot pink paper. The Snickers did not make it through the mail well, but were good anyway. Thanks, Carol, for doing this. I enjoyed eating the extra will looking at the cards. This message was from "Patricia A. I had a roll of laminating film left over from when I was a teacher. Now this is sold on a big roll (250 or 500 ft.x 24" wide) and it is intended to be used with the big heat laminating presses that you often find in schools. But I cut the film to size and used it (with the carrier) in my Royal laminator. Obviously, it is easier to use the pre cut pouches but this is much less expensive if you are going to be using it a lot. This is also a thinner guage film than the pouches but I find it holds up nicely. (I used it for laminating everythign in my Kindergarten class.) You can find the rolls in Demco catalog. I believe the one I bought was about $40 but it will last about forever. I imagine that you can find something similar in the Nasco or Dick Blick catalog. Just an idea. A tiny silver thread connects two delicate beads to the silver star. Very delicate looking card and very pretty! Shannon: Very pretty card edged in copper. What is the edging Shannon? The card has a hand and other primitive symbols which have been highlighted with rub on metallics. Very neat card! Val: Neat red cardstock card with silver and gold webbing spray. A doily has been layered over this and rub on metallics have been rubbed into it. A heart is layered in the doily. I can't believe how much this 3D vinyl heart jumps out at you! Little silk flowers are arranged on the heart. Striking card!
