He couldn't figure out who these women were. I was giving him a hard time that he was getting mail from other women. Then I decided to be nice and let him off the hook. The cards were really cool. I posted that my DH likes anything that has to so with the outdoors. Linda made a card on forest green card stock with an outdoor scene of a bear laying in a hammock. Very cute and soooo fitting. Valarie and Josh used a leather looking cardstock and and watercolors to create an outdoor background with watercolor trees and a traintrack, and a train was stamped on the track. My husband loved both of the cards. Thank you for your kindness! Patty Sulcs - Pk Stamper ON glossy cs she stamped this adorable little dancing chili peppers - by Print Kraft - colored wonderfully with red, green and yellow. Then two little guitar playing frogs by 100 Proof Press. Then in the background she put these great mountains by Art Impressions and sponged with browns and yellows. This card is hysterical. Thanks for your great work! Donnajo Troup She too a cream colored cs and layered a homemade looking brown texture paper that had been torn around the edges and layered on top of that a DOTS chili pepper strand embossed in cinnamon EP (very pretty color too!) done on white cs and cut out with the Fiskars Leaf(?) scissors. Then at the top a neat bow tied with a rust colored raffia. Great job...thank you! Raine - ZarratCz@aol.com She did a recipe card...IN the top left corner she stamped a chili pepper with red ep then put RECIPE over that....then wrote in red pen (great handwriting - mine sucks!) Mexican Chocolate Floats...hmmmm yummy sounds good and I will try it! She also did a light faded look of the PSX chili pepper wreath stamp in the background on the bottom right. This was a great idea. Thanks Robin Moore - adrlm@ccia.com She took a bright green cardstock and layered a red piece of cs on top with a border around it stamped on with verdigris ep...then layered the kitchen counter stuff - what's it called...I'm having a block - sorry. Green and placed a stamped in dark green ep chili peppers and looks like she rubbed some metallic rubon in gold over it too...then glued two chili pepper confetti pieces to is and one confetti boot and one green cactus...good ideas here! NO NAME !!!!!! UGH.... ON white cs...they stamped the chili pepper stamp repeatedly in red and embossed with clear. Either Blitzed or splatter brushed little speckles everywhere and then did the same to a matching envy. On same color cs...stamped in black ep another PSX chili pepper stamp and color in the peppers red and cut out to the perfect square and placed on dark green cardstock. Which is trimmed to a square too...then glued to the bottom half of the card. Great set...wish I knew who to thank! I want a color ink I don't have. inkpad ink I mean. dye kind. I want light blue.. WAY light blue. I have "sky mist". it's kinda light blue, but.. well.. it's clear day sunny sky no humidity blue.. not light enough. 'k. so.. I'ma ink my stamp in sky mist ink, but I want it to be lighter than that.. more the clear day sunny sky outside anno's window this mornin' blue. how can I make it be lighter than that? I can stamp it first then it'll be paler, and.. that might be ok.. but it might not.. too many variables in that one to be consistant and I can't afford to waste any of this paper.. cuz I only have 3 half sheets, and it's expensive. I want more the dead inkpad kind of look than the pre-stamped stamp kind of look. what if I inked my stamp in embossing ink first, then inked it with the dye sky mist.. would any ink stick? would it wreck my dye pad? would that make it lighter? would it eventually dry? say I was stampin' on vellum instead of glossy.. or even tracing paper.. I could practice on tracing paper.. then would it dry? could I ink the stamp with.. oh.. say a nerf ball? would that work? would the ink stay wet long enough to get it on the paper then? I can get ink off the inkpad to color with no problem.. I can sponge or stipple or even suck up some ink with one of my blenders and color with it that way.. between the markers and inkpads and blenders and those spongers and stipplers there isn't a color I can't have.. to color with.. but to stamp with.. how can I make the inkpads I have do the job of many more? heh.. tyra's created a monster.. it's name is.. anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
