There's mostly organza but also some cording and some gold, metallic mesh stuff. Wonderful, elegant selection. You are toooo sweet, Michelle. Yesterday I received a great box of goodies from my SS. I had already received 2 Encore Metallic pads (green and blue) from her via Shaunna, and have had tons of fun playing with them. Thanks for the big box of cookies they shared and the Easter Pez for each of them. *a box of Hershey's French Vanilla cocoa (for me!) *a whole lot of stickers (Sandylion, Mrs. Grossmans, Paper Magic, Provo Craft, Barbie)...I esp. like the dragon stickers! *a pack of clear envies from Stampo *really great horse confetti in gold an copper colors...this is really neat! *a watermelon brass stencil (I just got a new light box...good timing!) * two tapes filled with my favorite shows (you have no idea how much I enjoy these tapes...will email you a separate message concerning these, as you had some questions) *and two very wonderful handmade items (My Favorites!) 1) a very lovely card: white embossed flowers in vases on vellum, colored from behind, folded over a dark pink cs, and tied with a pretty gold trimmed translucent pink ribbon. The edge of the vellum is deco cut. Inside it says "Caring thoughts are with you" 2) in a very nice wood box I found a Dragon figurine that my SSS painted herself! This is a very thoughtful and treasured gift! it went right into my curio with my other figurines. You did a very nice job on him. I am flattered that you did this for me. Thank you so much! Just two more days! I must say that I am VERY impressed with the generosity of all those who have sent donations!!! Rubber stampers are certainly a giving bunch of people!!! I have received a number of E-mails from people who have mailed entries and are concerned about their entries making it on time....and still others who say they have just seen the post and are wondering HOW they could play at this late date! Because this is a fundraiser....and the GOAL is to raise funds...here is what I have come up with! I will post a list of all entries received tomorrow.......Monday. If you have sent your entries and do not see your name.......E-mail me and tell me the number of entries sent. If they do not come on Tuesday I will make up proxy entries for you. If you have NOT sent entries yet.....but would LIKE to....E-mail me IMMEDIATELY and I will make the entries for you! You do not HAVE to make entries ......but you must send your payment immediately! IMPORTANT!!! If a name is drawn and that person has not sent the payment yet...it will be announced as a "Proxy" winner....NO NAME WILL BE LISTED!!! If payment is not received by April 7...a new name will be drawn from all paid entries that have not already won a prize. Remember, however, that there is no limit on the number of prizes you can win...but obviously if ONE of your entries has won already it will not be put back in!!! Just to clarify....people who have donated ARE ELIGIBLE to send entries for the drawing as well!! If their name is drawn for their own prize it will just go back into the drawing. The only people who can't play are Giggles and Peter Pan!! The drawing will be held at 7:00 PM EST at Giggles' house....at the Peanut Butter Fudge party! All local stampers are ENCOURAGED to attend!!! I've heard rumours that Giggles is giving door prizes....and Linda Farrell is bringing Lindt truffles...for me anyway ;-)....but heck.....I'll share!!! :-) If you don't live close enough to come to the party.... and have AOL...winners will announced live in NvrLand ! (just click on this link and you are there!) Should be fun.....and maybe a few surprises there too.....eh Giggles? The name and address of each winner will be given to the person who has donated the prize won. The prize will then be mailed directly to the winner from the person who has donated it! So now there is ABSOLUTELY no reason for you to miss out!!!!!!!!! Send your check made out to Linda Skirvin to: Jamie Dinnsen 255 Joliette St. Manchester NH 03102 Jamie :-) ANY OTHER VENDORS CARE TO SWEETEN THE POT? Just let me know and I will add your donation! Welcome to the list. The people on this list are wonderful!! You will learn so much and make many friends as well. The first thing I learned is to throw caution to the wind and experiment!! Don't worry too much about messing up a card, you can always recycle it! Take some classes at a local stamp store if there is one in your area. These will not only teach you new things, but inspire you! And explore the web. There are wonderful sites out there that teach techniques and give you wonderful ideas! Oh, and jump right in and join some swaps! Don't be shy! Happy stamping!! Also would like some information on the best shops in the area. There is a limit to how many I can drag my DH to. I'm making pins & hoping at least the kids will trade with me. I'm sure mine will look plain but I can't wait to see what others make. I'm so excited! Any list members and/or venders going? I'm glad you did agree that racial jokes are dispicable. >> I have a suggestion--instead of using the racial or ethnic name itself, use the acronym DEM (for Despised Ethnic Minority) and folks can supply their own slur.
