Second, take your Fiskars postage scissors and cut only half way into the cs -- it should produce a preforated edge but I will admit I have put a lot of cs into the collage bin either because I cut to far in or didn't cut in enough. On the front of a white coloumn card was a red and orange background paper deckled around with another piece on top and then postage stamps from around the world - Peru, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, Turks and Caicos Islands, Ecuador, U.S., British Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic and my personal favourite Costa Rica. I've always said I would run away to Costa Rica and change my name to Julie Wu. There's tons more, inside background papers and handmade envelopes (perfectly made I might add) a matchbook notepad and a cool business card that says Special Edition - Hand Stamped Art - My other card is hanging in The Louvre. In my area we have a Talk Radio show that has a huge following (Real Radio 104.1) The host - Jim Philips - has a 99.9% effective recipe for encouraging overdue little tykes to make their appearance when they are being stubborn and overdue. Have your DH go to the store and buy a box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese (the original kind - not the fancy kind) and a bottle A1 Steak Sauce DH must lovingly prepare the Mac and cheese following the package directions. Once prepared - DH serves this dish to his lovely over-due bride (or significant other). The expectant Mom adds A1 sauce to the Mac and cheese to taste - as much or as little of the A1 sauce as she wants. She must eat as much of this stuff as she can hold. Jim practically guarentees a birth within 24 hours. He says it won't work unless DH prepares the dish. They have a scrapbook full of these A1 babies. Overdue mothers in the Orlando area believe in this method with all their hearts. Don't know how they stomach this concoction - but when you're REALLY overdue - I guess you might do almost anything! Let me know if you try this with success and I'll let Jim know! They feel this is the problem and will now feed him by IV for a while and then possibly put in a stomach feeding tube until/unless he gets the swallowing reflex back in his throat (this lax reflex is compounded by his head injury). Mom is taking this really hard although I feel it is somewhat better news than them finding cancer in his throat, colon, etc. or another abcess where they would have to cut him open again. The cat scan showed no new abscess areas in the colon or bowel. And the chest x-ray showed no pneumonia. His cough sounds awful, but since his head injury, he has not been able to cough effectively to get phlem up and out. I'm still tired and worked all day today for the first day since last Monday and then only 1 day the week before. Need to head for bed. Dr. said Dad will probably be in the hospital another week or 2???? Mom is concerned because she thinks the Medicare will not pay on his hospital bill after 30 days. I think 30 days will be on April 4. Gosh - where has this month gone???? Gotta go - thanks for all the loving notes and prayers. The list is the bright spot of my day. I did use contact paper. Since I'm not an artist, I'd use carbon paper to transfer the design to the contact paper. Then cut out the areas I wanted etched before applying it to the glass. It works great! Tupperstamper This message was from "Edward Sim" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
