Some quick pieces of administrivia, since I don't have a lot of time to take the air... Secret Stamper matches will go out this weekend. I'll post a form in a minute too, so if you've been waiting to play and have been frustrated because Dad Frank and I haven't been around much, fill that puppy in NOW! and get it back to us NOW! and we'll get you into this batch. People are getting uns*bbed a lot quicker these days, I've been instructed to tighten the filter, so now it's bouncing 24 hours or longer OR 300+ bounces. That's about a day's worth. I turned off the software yesterday until tomorrow so this notice might reach as many people as possible. Spread the word, too. Why have we been vacant so much lately? Lots of reasons, really, but the exciting one is that we're now in charge of the crafts forum on Dueling Modems (sponsor of this list), as of today. So go check out the new web pages and sign up for your free month's subscription on Dueling Modems and check it out. This brings our total forum hosting to, uh, a lot of forums with the F&J touch to them... Crafts, Needlearts, Fine Arts, Design, Education, Public Forum * NonProfit Connection and White House. Check 'em all out. And do take that free month's subscription! (Web page addresses below.) You can ALL come to our chats, too. We've started a new! Saturday night chat, alternating crafts and needlearts topics. This is Saturdays, starting at 11 p.m. Eastern time. More information is on the web pages. AND... we're looking for some good projects of the week for the web page. We need text instructions and either samples or scans of samples of the project in progress for this. Uh... we thought about saying you'd get paid a free month's subscription to Dueling Modems, but, uh, well, everybody can have that, all you have to do is sign up for it. You will get our undying gratitude, plus a lot of nice recognition on the web page. It doesn't have to be stamping, any craft will do. For you stitchers, the Needlearts web page will have a free pattern to download once a month. This month's one is really beautiful, can be stitched or appliqued (don't know how to spell that), check it out. I'd like to see something as good on the crafts pages, too. Anyway, go get your free month's subscription to Dueling Modems. And on the way, check out these most beautiful web pages. Once you see them, you'll know what I've been doing lately. And put our chats on your calendars. We'll be at the Design Help Desk in less than an hour, come see us! You ain't no goody-two-shoes. Remember the insect up the butt bit? You're a brand new vendor, so you're turning over a new leaf? Omigawd ... I gotta see *this*!! Your post *did* tick me off. And you know something else? It will take me about 5 seconds to get over it!! Good Luck with your business venture!! :) I'll order something .... and flame your ask off if it doesn't get here in 20 minutes! {{Hugs}} Ant Judy H. >>Hello all I have been sitting here reading all the posts the last few days..and doing some thinking. I was thinking "Since I am a new vendor, do I post and take a chance on ticking folks off?"...I answered myself with a big fat "YES YOU DO!!". I have kept my nose clean for quite some time now...so I figure it is time to spout for a bit. BTW...if you don't like this, you do not have to continue..but I am sure there will be a few folks who will respond!! To the newbies...there are PLENTY of folks who are willing to help you if you need help. They will not berate you publicly, and they will not treat you as if you are stupid. These people will also not make comments about your spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. It seems that the list is "ruled" (for lack of a better word) by a chosen few. I am not naming names, so it will be quite interesting to see who chooses to responds to that particular comment!! Yes...I have had my share of tiffs with folks..and I probably have been quite the little snit...BUT most of my goings-on have been behind the scenes. I try to take the nasty stuff away from the list....and I usually (99.9% of the time) end up apologizing. If some on the list are a bit more sensitive than others, OH WELL!!! That is the way they are..just like others on the list are a bit more hardened and don't let things affect them the same way. My advice to newbies (if you chose to hear it) is don't let this stuff get to you. If there is a particular person who bothers you, delete their mail..unless of course you wish to battle!! hee hee hee Ok..I think I have said enough. Your comments are welcome..and if you wish to flame me, please do so in private. Jaimee :) << This message was from "Judy Hornbrook" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
