I don't guess I could ever be a military wife where you move at the drop of a hat. In our house it's always - let's replace that bathroom floor this summer, lets put those closet doors on the correct way so they open without making Pam crazy . . . .Now we have to accomplish all the things we were gonna do later, right now. For somebody else. It never fails. But to my SSS. I got a package today that was incredible in it's thoughtfulness and caring attention. Everything was wrapped beautifully in brightly colored cellophane bags. A wonderful darling little bear so soft and cuddly for my brand new grand-daughter. How thoughtful! It had a little card around it's neck that said congratulations. There were 3 large "jeweled looking" eggs, one with a cute bunny um stamp, one with a little bouquet of carrots and one with stickers (stickers for a new baby "It's a girl" and birthday stickers. In Happy Birthday cellophane there were 2 mounted stamps. One is a bunny parade (I collect bunnies) from Magenta and a Happy Birthday stamp from PSX. A wonderful stained glass window stamp from Rubber Stampede and a very ornate egg stamp from PSX both mounted. 2 cylinders of sealing wax discs. I can't wait to try these. A set of punches (3 in one), a bunny, a duck and a tulip. Very cuuuuuuuuuuuute. 5 sheets of colored stickerpaper. I've never seen this before. this is great!!! with punches too. A set of Frances Meyer stickers "Sugar and Spice" for my memories album for the baby. For my coffee sweet tooth - Mocha Java coffee. My Saturday morning treat to me. A whole box of Crayola overwriters. These are a stitch. I've already tried them out! My SSS made me a beautiful card. Layered in different shades of green, teal and white and it says "To My Friend" - Happy Birthday. She wrote how she hopes my move goes smoothly and to let me know that she mailed 2 + birthday packages in one (I'll say!). There's also a bunch of round lacy paper doilies - just the right size for cards, a garland of bunnies (too cute), a solid wooden egg to stamp. A whole package of Easter Egg cellaphane bags. A package of gold braid for trims. A whole set of patterns from Linda Strawn and she even knew that it was different than the set I already got from Linda. How does she keep up on these things????? Two kool neon pens from Pentel - these are great on dark paper. And a wondeerful huge book of origami instructions. Origami is my weakness. I don't actually do it well but I so enjoy trying. What really touched me so much was the fact that everything in this package lets me know that she knows me and the things I enjoy. Each item was special and I was amazed at how she picked things out. You are truly a special secret stamper. You made today as well as this week and month very special. I can't wait to find out who you are to thank you personally. You are wonderful!! I still can't hardly believe what a wonderful package I got today!! When the mailman brought it to my door and handed it to me, I saw it was from Green Sneakers. Then, I read Kreate-a-bag, from your SS. So, even though I have wanted one of those for a long time, and have tried, unsuccessfully, I might add, to get one, I didn't want to get my hopes up. I thought to myself, my Ss might have reused her box, or something. So, I opened it up, and the first things I saw were a hole punch, glue stick, some sticky tape (I have never seen this type before), and a set of tools to score paper or use with clay. Then, I saw it. The Kreate-a-bages. Ooohhh....I got so excited!! Then, I pulled out a white box, and discovered there is a video tape on making these bags. I will probably need that. :)) I didn't know there was such a thing as a video instruction tape. I don't have the energy to try it out right now, but believe me, I will as soon as I can!! In the meantime, I will lay down and watch the vidoe to get an idea of what to do. Now, I realize the things I first pulled out of the box will probably be needed to make the bags. I just can't thank you enough, SS!! You really made my day and week!! This weekend, with the kids all home, I hope one of them will want to play with it all with me, too. (Probably will! They usually enjoy stuff like this, too.) That way, I can get help and have fun, too. Big Hugs! I have these molds that my in-laws gave me that are for jello or peanut butter or ice cream or basically anything. About 10 shapes like a cat, train, Texas, etc., stuff the kids would like. They're pretty deep, about 1.5-2 inches. Can I use these? I was thinking it would be fun for the kids to do and then after they're dry to paint. Can it be painted with acrylics? ***Glitterface*** Debbie Miller, Austin TX Mommy to Kate and Maggie, fraternal twins (10-11-93) tomndeb@ccsi.com This message was from "Glitterface" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I also scan them at 72dpi, this will help them load faster, however, they will not print a very good quality, but if the person just wants to view them on the computer, then this is the best way to go. If the person wants to print them out, then you will need to scan at a higher dpi, but it will make the download time alot longer. hope this helps.
