In another bowl, cream butter with 1 cup sugar. Beat eggs, one at a time, into creamed butter. Then beat in cocoa mixture. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, salt, and baking soda. Add flour to butter cocoa mixture, alternating with remaining 1/2 cup yogurt into which the Kahlua has been blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Pour evenly into a buttered 10" springform tube pan that has been dusted with cocoa powder. Bake approximately one hour or until tester comes out clean. Cool cake on a rack before removing from pan. The Glaze 10 oz semi-sweet chocolate 1 oz unsweetened chocolate 1 1/2 tbsp unsalted butter 3/4 cup heavy cream 1 tbsp Kahlua Break chocolate into bits. Place double boiler over, not in, a pan of hot water. Add chocolate, cream, butter and Kahlua. Cover tightly and heat for a few minutes, stir until completely melted and smooth. Transfer to stainless steel bowl and cover. Keep at room temperature. Slowly pour about half the glaze over the top of the cake spreading it evenly with a metal spatula over the top, sides and in the center. Refrigerate until glaze is firm. Then repeat with remaining glaze. Refrigerate again to allow second layer of glaze to firm up. Decorate with piped buttercream chocolate frosting in an interesting shape and top each with a chocolate bean or pecan or walnut half. Or just accent with fresh flowers in center and around the sides. Best served the next day. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Directions for the swap didn't say an $8 stamp, but valued at no more than $8--mine was probably about $7 It also didn't say what size pkg embossing powder, so I sent a small baggie of one of mine. I wasn't meaning to be stingy, and put in more on some items than asked for because I have a lot of some things, and exactly on others because I had to go buy them. I've not joined any SS things because when I've seen pkgs. described it is way beyond what I could send. I joined this one specifically because it sounded like something in my budget and fun. It would break my heart to have my pkg so publicly unappreciated. BTW, I dreamed about receiving my pkg last night--didn't ever get to see what was in it--dream was about trying to get to the mailbox, trying to get to the pkg before DS or DH got it, trying to get somewhere to open it--very sureal and very funny. I've not gotten mine yet, so hope I don't have to go through all that snow, hail, sleet, wind, mud, tall grass, sleigh ride with obnoxious people, church meeting, walking endlessly, etc. to REALLY get it!! Eileen I have wept in the night for the shortness of sight that to somebody's need made me blind; But I never have yet felt a tinge of regret for being a little too kind. _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. We have only just now finished cleaning (it's 10:19 PM)... and we have been cleaning most of the afternoon and evening. WHEW! Still have some tidying up to do... but nary a bread crumb in sight. See, as part of the preparations for Passover, we are to clean our homes, cars, places of business, lockers at school... anywhere where our personal affects might be... because, during the time of Passover we can not own chametz. Chametz is that which is leavened, i.e., made of flour and its related grains (barley, etc) and/or yeast. So, we are required to clean everyplace to rid it of those pesky crumbs. We've been cleaning and scrubbing and vacumming and washing... our hands are prune-wrinkled from the water, our clothes are besmeared, and our bodies are tired! But, we are chametz free! This was a fun swap! I got cards from: Ms. Hare, I-Sis stamps, Montanavit@webtv.net, Shellie, and Somebody! The person who forgot their name did a layered lady chasing a star in a rainbow pad-- great colors and a very unique stamp! Shellie used a duplex cardstock (great idea!!) reddish on one side and gray on the other. She embossed a vase with flowers in white on the red side (who makes that stamp? I love it!!) It came out so nice, too... what brand EP did you use? Anyway, she also used a fancy "postcard" word stamp and a postage stamp with strawberries on it. Very nice! I recognize the pigs on montanavit's card: they're from a Stampin' Up set I've got! What a cute spattered heart background stamp!! And what did you use on the hearts and the bows on the hogs? Very cute! I love the fish and the saying "Only dead fish swim with the stream", I-sis stamps!! Very cool sponged background, too-- it looks professional! Nice job! And last, but not least, "Byte me"!!!! Ms. Hare used a stamp of a marshmallow bunny (cute, cute stamp) with an off-the-wall saying-- great combination of cute and wierd! :) I loved all the cards!!!! deb This message was from D1derly - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. Occasionally I see a post, and I think *wow*.... I really appreciate what that person said. I, also, would like, occasionally, to express my appreciation for that by sending the person a RAK or something similar. Of course, I'd *like* to be able, where possible, to do that anonymously, but it's often hard to do. I know that Cindy Piet is maintaining the snail addy list, but I also know what a chore that is, and that it's not quite ready for distribution. Does anyone have an OLD copy of it? I also know that Susan Benedict maintains the RAK list, but it's a Never Been RAK'd list for the most part, and I know that some of these people have been RAK'd before. Sometimes when I want an addy, I'll email around a few people until I find someone willing to divulge the information. Also, sometimes I want to RAK a person with "things".... Like, say, things I upgraded (like my heat gun), or things that are no longer "me" (i.e. certain stamps). Of course, I'd like to know IN ADVANCE if that person might need/want a certain item. Is there a way to do a wish list-snail addy RAK list? Maybe even if we use it only to send Anonymous RAKS? I'd be more than happy to compile the information if it's not stepping on anyone's toes..... Suggestions/comments? Tina This message was from SereneGirl - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
