I got my cards too. I agree with everyone else who has received theirs, these are just wonderful and everybody did a great job. A big thanks to Fran and Cindy for all the work putting this all together. What a horrendous job. As wonderful as these all are and as much as I'd like to share them, I just have to say this: Fran, thanks so much for not asking us to describe all 50 or so these cards - lol. Here are the ones I do get to describe: Oregon: made by Cindy Woodard. The card is cut out in the shape of Oregon State in a light pine card stock which has been randomly spattered with gold ep. On top of this is a smaller shape cut out of a light green marbled card stock. On this piece she has stamped three different postoids, one with roses commemorating the Rose Festival, one with a view of Crater Lake and one with pears in honor of the Pear Blossom Festival. You guys sure do have a lot of fesitvals! Amongst the postoids she has stamped images of mountains, Douglas Firs, the rain and the sun with a pair of shades on - lol. On the back where she added the stamp credits, is a Beaver. Nice card Cindy. New Hampshire: by Linda Farrell. On the front of her card is stamped a leafless tree with fall colored leaves blowing off of it. She added a couple copper and red colored confetti leaves to complete the effect. All this is on white card stock which is layered over a brown card stock on top of dark green card stock. Inside the card "Greetings from New Hampshire". I've always wanted to go leaf-peeping in this area of the country and Linda's card reminded me of that. I love Fall! Thanks Linda. Georgia: by Tracy May. Tracy stamped an image of an old mansion. I think this is a PSX image. She has colored it beautifully, especially the sky. She stamped this image on white card stock and trimmed it with deckle-edge scissors. She then mounted this on a pretty yellow card stock. On the inside she has stamped "Georgia on my mind" on one side and on the other side, an excerpt from "Southland in the Sprintime" on cream colored card stock also trimmed in a deckle edge. Pretty card Tracy. New York: by Kate Hill. On white card stock Kate has stamped images of Niagra Falls, trees, a cluster of New York skyscrapers, the Statue of Liberty and "I(a heart shape)NY" with an outline of the State in the background. She has mounted this on light yellow card stock. Another State to visit someday. Nice card Kate. New Jersey: by kalicokathy. Such a colorful card. She used a full piece of card stock for this one. Kathy has printed a pretty scene of blue skies, trees with red, green, yellow leaves next to a lake and High Point Monument in the background. Beneath this is an image of different birdhouses and cat sitting underneath them with a saying "there's no place like home". There is an image of the State Seal, purple violets for the State Flower, the State flag, a Red Oak for the State tree, the State bird, an Eastern Goldfinch, and an image of the State "the Garden State". Very nice job Kathy. It seems that if it's not touching the photo, there wouldn't be a problem. >> Hi Cyndi - I have a friend who stamps and is definitely a scrap book fanatic. She only wants acid free materials for both activities. I think it is easier to keep the supplies straight and not accidentally use non-acid free in her photo albums. Occasionally she will get some materials that she knows she will only use for stamping. I imagine it could be difficult to keep track of a lot of different papers and pens.
