Ant Judy, I tried several times to get AIP's catalog, and was told - very unceremoniously - - that they do NOT deal with Canadians. I asked why (the first time it was my returned check and a note the second time it was a phone call from me to them) and they said it was too much of a hassle, and mailing costs were too much. Well, first of all, they recover all their shipping costs, and besides that it isn't THAT much more, as any vendor on the list will tell you. Secondly, I believe that the hassle they were referring to was the filling out of that little tiny green Customs sticker on which they have to actually write the amount and the contents, and stick it on. I was very put off by their attitude, and while I would want to see the stamps and products they carry, I do not like being treated like a pariah by virtue of my citizenship. I told them that vendors from all States including Hawaii and Alaska deal with us, why can't they, and they told me it's too much of a hassle (those words!!). SO they ain't getting my business or my approval. Usually, I spend my mornings doing household chores, errands, etc. Then, in the afternoon, I work on my homemade soap (just learning that) and other projects like getting things ready for my cub scouts group. When I stamp, usually, I work on my store samples for my classes first and then deliver them right away. The swap cards and such are stamped at home. Then if I am in a pinch for time, I take them and my markers or colored pencils and color the cards while in the carpool line at the schools. I also cut out alot of things then too. Most of my stamping takes place at night, after the kids are in bed. I like to stamp then because the house is quiet and I am not having to "watch the clock" because of carpooling kids to and from school. Whenever I have a chance to, I stamp up extra images onto a piece of cardstock, filling up the page. These I use when I am doing layered cards or pop-ups. That helps save time too.
