Greetings, ya'll I've been looking for a certain type of Peanut Butter Cookie recipe. It's the kind like my mom made when I was a kid. She no longer has the recipe nor can remember the proportions of the ingredients. It is *not* a soft, chewy, cakey kind of cookie like most recipes I've tried lately. It's a very thin, crispy, shatters fairly easily, almost gritty in texture. Like a real shortbread type of cookie. Kinda like a Pecan Sandie texture. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? I can't do a recipe search because I can't tell what the cookie will be like just by reading the recipe and I want some real people input. I would think that to create a thin crispy cookie one would need a larger proportion of fat and sugar to flour? I tried squishing a regular pb cookie recipe thinner and it didn't turn out right or like I remember. I'd love it if someone who knows what I'm talking about would forward it to me or tell me where to get it. The one(s) who send me the cookie I'm looking for will be rewarded with your choice of a bar of soap or a package of Powdered Pearls (tm). (My choice or colors or scents, please) I do reserve the right to 'judge' which cookie is closest to what I'm looking for. Since I delete extensively based on Subject line content....well, I may miss a bit but that's life when you have a volume of 'stuff' to clean out before you can move ON . Since I'm in the process of working up my own company catalog, some of the comments related to crediting the origin of images are of interest to me. I have several images provided by another artist with whom I collaborate, and will have these all indicated along with a biography of the artist and contact information for those who may want to contact her. Even on the reduced photocopies of my sheets which I provided with the flawed freebies recently, those images are credited to my 'collaborator'. Some of my images are public domain and/or from copyright free sources, so I'm now considering the inclusion of source info for these images as well. I had planned to include info on the tribe/country of origin wherever possible (especially for the African imagery). This is somewhat troublesome, since I have several sources for the same image (photos in anthropological references, Dover stuff (usually simplified), photos/drawings in various art books). My original imagery will also be indicated as such. Anyway, this is an issue of some importance to me, so I I thought that it may be worth some constructive discussion. And I do consider myself an angel company. You may do whatever you wish with hand-stamped application of my images. However, no mechanical reproduction (eg. photocopying) of the image, creating another rubber stamp from the original and or selling of mechanical reproductions is allowed. Considerate stampers credit the origin of their images wherever possible. Comments related to the documentation of work are also of interest to me. I've been involved in a number of stamp-related projects which included extensive documentation. Much information relevant to the project, as well as papers, inks, embossing powder sources etc etc are included in addition to musings on the project theme etc. I find these extensive documentations fascinating and don't begrudge the time/effort involved in providing such documentation to those who receive my work. It could be that the audience/project group comes from a 'place' where such things are common-place, and hence, we expect 'more'....but I've come to expect the same of myself. And yes...even on the card I've done for Mother's Day...all images are credited to the company of origin (but they are mostly MINE ). Anyway, I hope that I haven't restirred a overburned stew....as I admit that I didn't read each and every post generated over this weekend . Hello all

I am in dire need of the Lowell Herrero cat = stamp=20 (Delafield) named Baby Hugo - it's the one with the butterfly on the = cat's nose=20 and the cat is looking cross-eyed at it.  I will pay millions = (well, we can=20 negotiate) for this stamp.  Perhaps I could offer up my children in = exchange (you'd have to catch me on one of their bad days).  Maybe = you'd=20 like a nice cat or dog in exchange (I'll consider during shedding = season). =20 I would offer up DH, but I need him at the moment to build me more stamp = shelves.  If anyone has this stamp and they are willing to sell, = trade,=20 etc., please let me know.

Or if you know of a store that may have the = stamp,=20 please give me the info.  I walked into a stamp store recently and=20 supposedly the person ahead of me bought the stamp!  =20 AAARRRRGGGHHHH!

BTW - I also collect the mugs and plates with = these=20 cats on them - any info would be appreciated.

Thanks so much!

The title is "Lonely Hearts" by Annie Kimberlin. ISBN # 0-505-52256-X. Publisher: Dorchester Publishing Co. I bought mine at Barnes & Noble. $4.99. It's about a woman who owns a rubber stamp company. Her standard poodle knocks down a ladder, she falls ontop her mailman & later falls in love with him. It's cute, & it's a kick reading about rubber stamping stuff, TTPO's, etc. in a book--so unexpected. Someone (I forget who) said the author used to be on this list. Email me if you have any more questions. Diane This message was from MaltShake9 - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I'm reading all these email headers and thinking how they can apply to me. I woke up yesterday like any other day and had no idea that before the day was done I'd have two puppies in addition to the dog we already have! I went for a walk late yesterday and found two abandoned puppies. No food, no collars, no water, no houses or people around. They were hiding under an ole dump truck and had probably been there just a few days. Well, I couldn't just leave them there could I? The one seemed to want to follow me but then went back to be with the other (which I couldn't help but admire!). I went home (We don't live far and got my hubbie and he, reluctantly, brought them home! What a saint to put up with me! :-) Now, he is still not saying we will keep them and as cute as they are, I'm not sure if I'm ready for two more dogs either but we are taking care of them and checking into what options we have that will assure the dogs are happy and healthy etc. We do not have any animal havens here that won't kill the dogs and because there is basically a rabies edidemic out here, the shelters aren't allowed to adopt out any pups that aren't vaccinated but they can't be vaccinated until they are 4 months old so that means they would just kill them! Even if they did have shots they would only keep them 4 days. The vet said pups are usually easier to get rid of after they get their initial checkup and shots but if we do that I'm thinking maybe we should just keep them! I was also told they probably don't have rabies as most pups would die real quick from that. Still we are being careful and washing lots! The other thing is their personalities. One is rather brave and somewhat of a dickens, smart too. The other is very very timid, in fact, I have never seen a dog so afraid of people. He actually will act fine until he sees us and then hides his head! At the dump truck he crawled in between the double tires and just his little butt was sticking out! When my DH picked him up he cried as if he was being tortured! He is still very very timid but is letting my DH pick him up now w/o crying but still hides his head. Anyhow, he is so timid and afraid of people that I'm wondering if he would make it w/o his brother. That coupled with the fact that the brave brother refused to leave his timid brother makes me not want to separate them but the odds of finding one good home for both are even less than finding two good homes. Plus I KNOW we will give them a good home even if we really initially didn't want them but I really don't know about others. So many people get pups cause they are cute and then don't realize all thats involved. My husband and I have had dogs and cats for years and while we just have 1 dog now, we know very well the work, time and money etc involved and right now it would be a bit of a strain to keep them but we could get through it. Last but not least - My DH thinks they are a beagle lab mix as they are almost all back but have brown paws and brown markings on their faces and those sad puppy eyes, plus one has white 'socks' and the other has a white tipped tail and nose! But our son found a picture of a doberman puppy on the net and it looks almost just like these pups! I've always been afraid of dobys but my mom said its how you raise them and DH says they are a mix so should be fine and brother says regardless of the mix they will be great pets as we took them when they were terrified and alone and gave them a good home. I don't know what to do, I keep teetering. Does anyone know anything about dobermans?
