Get thee to Office Max/Office Depot/Staples and purchase thyself a paper cutter. A 12" heavy duty paper cutter by Boston is what hubby came home with one night. He bought it because he was putting together an owner's manual for one of his customer's _not_ knowing I had just decided I needed one! He used it for his project and I've had it ever since!! The ONLY way I cut paper is with a rotary cutter, a self healing mat (the kind WITH the grids on it so you can line your ruler and paper up precisely) and a METAL ruler with cork backing to make it not so likely to slip. You can get virtually perfect cuts with these. I never use anything else...unless it's a fiskars scissors for a decorative edge, but I do that after the card's been cut and folded. With a little practice this will be EASY... So, you can delete here if you want - this is something personal. Okay all you experienced Moms - this may sound really silly - but does anyone have any "tried and true" tips for potty training? Abby will be 3 next month and I am having a terrible time with her - she doesn't really seem interested at all and I would really like to have her trained before we go south in April or May. At least during the day. Once in awhile she will say she has to use the potty chair, but it's almost always after she's already 'done'. She is very tall for her age - she is always being mistaken for being 4 or 5 years old, and I've gotten lots of disapproving looks from people when they see me buying diapers for her. And then, on the other hand, I get people who tell me not to push her, that when she's ready, she will pick it up in a day or two. It's hard sometimes, my Mom is no longer here to give me advice, my MIL doesn't help - she just tells me about how her other grandkids were all trained before they were 2, etc. - when I asked for her help, she just kinda shakes her head and repeats how easy it was for the other kids. It's times like this I really miss my Mom! So, seeing as I think of all of you as family, I'd love some advice. Please post to me privately - don't want to make anyone mad, you know!
