DH is just as amazed at the kindness you've bestowed upon him. He was on the phone yesterday with his sister in VT and was telling her all about the great cards he's received and how they're from all over the U.S. and even from England!! Please continue to send those positive thoughts his way, surgery is Tuesday. Now to share the treasures he received: Barb aka Rollin: Forest Green cs stamped with 'antlers' and embossed. Brown corrugated paper layered on a diagonal and layered on top of this is a piece of off-white paper torn around the edges, stamped with an elk and background trees. Margaret Addley: An adorable little bear that's trimmed with gold embossing and colored in with a gold embossed "Get Well" placed just above his head. These two pieces are layered onto green cs that's been trimmed with neat corner punch design and then layered on white cs. On the inside is a nice personal note and some neat holographics stickers of Snoopy, Woodstock and some alien heads!!! Catherine aka Dooleybug: A postcard made of white speckled cs. A lovely hotair balloon...(which by the way is something we both have a passion for!) The lavender and white specked hot air balloon is embossed, no wait...I think it's liquid applique....(sorry Dooleybug...please tell me so I'll know) It's 'foam mounted' to colorful tissue paper with helium balloons on it. Kathie aka Moostamp A funny one for sure! On white cs...medicinal paraphenilia (needles, pills) adorns the cover along with Dr. and Nurse Frog and it's word stamped with "Have you hugged your frog today?" On the inside, more meds and a pill bottle that said "This bug's for you!" and stamp saying "Some days you're the frog and some days you're the wart! :>) Michele Pryor: Wow...lots of techniques here...On glossy cs she stamped a grumpy looking turtle laying on it's back on a rock...and a stamped saying "Heard you were flat on your back!" All around is a beautiful blue cloud effect and the green ground looks like it was sponged. Rocks and magenta colored floweres are splashed all around the ground...Great masking! In addition to a nice personal note, she stamped "Hope You're Feeling Better Soon". Linda aka Giggles: So cute! Multi colored dog-bone background paper is layered on steel blue cs. An adorable sheep dog (my hubby's favorite dog - how'd ya know???!!!) is sitting there holding a red rose and above him ..layered separately is the phrase "Doggone It" - Linda used some neat design scissors to cut it out (sorry I don't know which ones)...on the inside it's stamped "Get Well Soon!" Patti Britt: On off-white cs several layers.....from the top down....using taupe cs she stamped a smiling cat face 4x and angled it onto the 2nd layer which is tissue paper. She stamped it with multiple cats in black ink and then layered onto brown cs that's been cut with, I think, deckle edged scissors...and stamped inside, "Feel Better Soon!" Thank you, to each of you, from the whole of my heart!!! Take care and stamp with a light heart! Do you really want to use up that valuable HALOS hook and loop on a disposable paper gown? Make the gown of fabric and reuseable. Then it's a worthy project. Around here they use (at least in the radiology center and the hospital) three armhole gowns. Fabric - high quality too. One arm in, second arm in, wrap around and put first arm in third armhold. When it's on it's reminicent of a wrap around skirt, except it covers from shoulder to knee. I asked for one and got it. It's great for hair coloring. They come in gray and white - depending on where you're going for what tests. --`--,--{@ Patti in Fort Myers, FL @}--`--,-- Computers are life. Rubberstamping is art.
