Gee, Valobra, and I still have a custom-made stamp in an envelope addressed to you, still waiting on a check to arrive from last November. Maybe your check got lost in the mail, maybe all my e-mails asking about it got lost, maybe your life just got in the way. We probably don't want to talk about what your SS from last round received and when. Point here is that things DO happen. When they are happening to your life and you're doing the best you can do, it all feels reasonable. When they are happening to other people's lives, perhaps they don't. And things lost in the mail, while rare, do happen. My other point is that it is uncomfortable to air these things in public. Perhaps my best advice to you, and to anybody else reading, is to view swaps in a different light. Mail off your cards like a donation to the mail goddess, then forget about them. When the swap packet comes to you (and they almost all always do, eventually) it's like a gift. Join the Secret Stamper Swap with just the fun of picking out and packing gifts for another, for the pure joy of being sneaky. Most people who join the SSS for what they can get out of it are doomed to disappointment. Fortunately most people don't join for that reason, and most are pleased beyond measure. Those monthly packages aren't seen as mystery boxes you've ordered, but rather gifts from the mail goddess. Point of view can make a great deal of difference. ========================================================================= Janet Detter Margul | Real women don't have hot flashes... Point your web browser at http://crafts.dm.net/ . Here's a cute idea. take a wooden stake and attach a birdhouse on it. Then nail the cat tin to the stack below the birdouse, attach a sign that says Bird Food Cheep, or House for Wrent,. You can even just do a lil sign that says, All Birdies Welcome and attach the cat can and put bird seed in and put it in your garden, pots on balcony. Cute idea, huh . My friend Donna makes these and they sell like hot cakes......
