Has anything changed since then? well.. not really, no. we came home one day, kids and I, came up the street and the mail truck was sitting in front of the bushes (this was while it was blooming, before the last one was trimmed), so we sat behind him.. he pulled forward, stuffed some stuff in the box and went on down the street (is a small street, 8 houses on a cul-de-sac.. I'm 2nd one in). so we pulled into the driveway and I went and fetched the mail outta the box, and there on top of the pile was a package slip, come to the post office and pick it up.. I was sittin' right behind him! grrrr.. so I hiked up the street and thrust it in his window and claimed my package and he started harpin' at me 'bout the bush, and I told him I wasn't the bush gal, he oughta be talkin' to my husband if it was horticulture he wanted to talk. so then I trimmed the bush the next week, when it finished blooming, on a monday.. on thursday I got the first (of 3 so far) notes fussing about the missing numbers on the box again. he always circles the place on the note where it says if this isn't corrected by such and such a date, I won't deliver your mail anymore, but so far he hasn't filled in a date. it's possible he's been told he's not allowed to stop delivering our mail anymore, I dunno. Ted sez he's gonna put the numbers back on (yesterday actually, but I'm sure he didn't get around to it). He's a nicer guy than I am. and I already said yesterday 'bout the lecture he gave me last time he had to bring a box to the door. anno This message was from "annette" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. We were there many years ago and I love the fiords. We traveled by boat much of the time and even changed boats in the middle of the fiord! My dad was born and raised in Lindesnes and I went over there on two separate occasions. Its been over 20 years since I've been back but I would LOVE to go again some day! (teller, customer service rep at a bank, sales, managing stores at the mall, craft maker - did shows, paralegal work, Office manager of a Medical Data processing company, of course the Victoria's Secret job, a toy store, etc.) Now I am a domestic goddess...LOL...domestic NOT and goddess NOT....but I stay home with the kids...try to clean this house NOT...and have stamp/paper stuff everywhere...I live for the mail, drawings from Drew and my SS boxes...how sad a life, eh? I also volunteer for our community...head many committees...and I am the secretary for our community association. I sell Discovery Toys as well. An at home business that sells educational games and toys for Children. Love their stuff...not very active lately in doing home parties but still lots of catalog sales. I also do stamp samples for a local stamp store, do projects for her, and getting ready to start teaching a mother/daughter class in the Fall there. Nervous. That's it...and that's enough... (long) I have been on the list for awhile now and am amazed at how caring everyone is for each other. I am usually rather shy, but I figured you all might help me out. I have been pretty depressed lately with my husband and I disagreeing about a number of things. My husband is a pc support contractor and we don't get health insurance benefits. Currently we have a short term plan, that covers emergencies only with a $500 deductible. I guess he is starting to stress out about this, since our girls need to get to the doctor for check-ups. Anyway he feels I should get a part-time job. It is not that I don't want to work, but I started my own company. (Collections-giftware and collectibles) I promote my business through the party-plan method and I admit it is going rather slow. I also just signed up with SU! His brother came to visit and introduced him to EXCEL Telecommunications. He now wants me to quit everything, including this list, and work EXCEL for him. I told him I would help him in any way I can, but I will not sacrifice my businesses in the process. He feels I am being selfish for not putting him first. I am usually on the computer after everyone goes to bed and I do my stamping during my girls naptime(while he is at work). Occasionally I have gotten on the computer when he was busy with other things and I may be on when he gets home from work, so these occasions mean I am always on the computer reading "1000 useless messages" a day. Time I should be spending working EXCEL. I am tired of being told I am soo lucky to be at home all day and not have to work(my businesses are hobbies) and the only thing I do is watch soap operas and eat bon-bons! When my girls are awake I spend all my time with them. In order to have "my" time I have to stay up late and get little sleep which is all right with me. Oh and he says he never gets "my" time. I am sorry to dump all of this on everyone, but I could use some encouraging words. If anyone out there has some words of encouragement, please email me privately. Thank you all for listening and for this list!
