That seems to be a common employee attitude. I can't say that I didn't feel that way. 15 minutes more at the store meant maybe a dollar more pay as compared to getting home and spending a few more minutes with my boys before bedtime. HOWEVER, If I were a shop owner and only owned one shop and was trying to make a go of it and to compete with the BIG craft stores, I would be friendly and co-operative and try to make the customer feel welcome.I would try to let them know that there are things that a small shop can and will do for customers that a Big store won't do. I would try not to have the same attitude toward customers as is displayed in some of the larger stores. I do not return to stores where I am not treated well as a customer. Many of the small stores in this area have veeerry short hours... Yes, I know it is an 8 hour+ work day but the shops are not open before I go to work and they are almost ready to close when I get off. I only have a few minutes to shop before closing sometimes. It's not that I put it off to the end of the day to cause problems for owners and employees. I'm blushing here now. I never have any dirty dishes. I wash them up right away. I can't stand dirty dishes. Every cup, every spoon used, needs to washed up IMMEDIALETY. My husband complains a lot: "where's my coffee mug, I wanted to have another cup of coffee!!!" Ooops, washed it up already. I don't need a dishwasher, I never get it filled up anyway! This sounds so silly when I read it now, but hey, I can live with it. My husband is getting used to it (we've been married for 10 years). Well, that's my story about dirty dishes. And please don't laugh, I feel silly enough as it is..... Melissa, I sell Biblical Impressions at a 25% discount. I have a lot of unmounteds in stock and could send those out to you the same day. If I need to order something it would be about 3 weeks by the time it arrives to you. You pay the actual shipping. The shipping on the unmounteds is very little since they are so light. Email me with what you are interested in and I'll let you know if I have it in stock. Thank you. Are you supposed to send an envy, or is that > something that is optional?? Hi Jaimee! Ever since I've been on the RS list,(over a year now) envelopes have been optional depending on what the hostess outlines for the swap. Some have requested envys, most that I have seen have not. I think the point of most swaps is to trade ideas, not necessarily cards that can be "used" (though I have used swap cards to send to someone when the card was just right for the occasion). Not sending envys saves a bit on postage, too. Sandy This message was from Joyful Stamper - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
