The only ones I'd like to keep on the mounts are the tiny stamps. I put some on HALOS already and they are a major pain to keep track of. I was able to buy a beautiful lacy heart stamp that had a bubble under the rubber. I then turned it into an um and mounted it and saved it. I bought that stamp for 25% of the original cost because they thought it was damaged If you already have 75% of your collection just keep going. I do have other stamps that will remain on the mounts though. Certain things like PSX flowers and the Norman Rockwell stamps will never go to um. As I was looking through a stamping book, I came across the section on embossing. It says that embossing ink can be mixed 50/50 with water and used with calligraphy pens. It also said that you can use an erasable pen (like a Papermate Erasermate) to emboss with. I haven't tried it, so I don't know how long the ink stays wet for, but they say that you can write an entire letter and then emboss it (we'll see about that!). This would be nice for making a thin border line or signing your name in gold inside a black card. It also talked about using clear EP on black cardstock. This I've tried, it gives you a rich shiny black on matte black look. It looks classy! Well, so much for my tips. I hope they can give SOMEONE a brainstorm! I'm not doing the card justice by trying to describe it!! Stampingmagic (Katrice Faulkner): cute card... on the front is a kitty in a hat box wearing a hat. The edge is scalloped. On the inside is a strip of background paper (pink w/white polka dots - small & groups of 3). The saying on the inside is "I hope you feel better soon (w/ 3 hearts)" Karker@gte.net (Karen): I LOVE this stamp! On the front of the card is a nurse holding a syringe w/ her hand on her hip... there is a piece of teal green paper set off sides behind the nurse with teal green square outlined .... (I'm not great at describing)... The inside says "Get Well Soon." Packrat414@aol.com (Lori Nelson): Very cute card! White cardstock, background paper is red with bandaids all over it... Darcie's bear (w/bandaid on forehead) is centered on the front of background paper. Inside says "Get Well Beary Soon" with a small bandaid attached.... Initials are CV: Peach cardstock with corner punches (cute) with bandaids cut out... Inside says "Get Well Soon" Last one (artist unknown): envelope with bandaids stamped all over front & back. Inside is girl (Whitney from DOTS) holding a bandaid... Message stamped by her feet says "Get Well Soon" Also included was a piece of background paper ... red with bandaids all over it!! Good question...I've just spent the past 1.5 hours thinking of things to say and trying to edit the questionnaire because I have a really crappy computer and my brain is fried! Sorry :) Anyway, I just want to say that I'm so excited about being a member of this mailing list and can't wait to join in all the swaps and getting great ideas from all of you! I can't believe the sheer volume of messages posted to this mailing list so I subscribed to the DIGEST form of my now former favorite mailing list (high volume, but not this high!) to accomodate this one! But I'll take a whack: I do.. sorta. when I stop and TRY to picture a person anyway. very stereotypical, I'm sure. So.. you, if I gotta give you a picture, you look like kd lang. odd, sorta.. cuz I tend to picture everybody as blonde.. but.. not you for some reason! ant judy, she looked like ant bea until she told me how old she isn't, so then she didn't look like anything in particular I guess, til she said she looks like mae west, so that's what she looks like now. dawn (golden sunrise dawn), I pictured her like sandy duncan in peter pan, but I was mistaken! robbie (do y'all know robbie? she's here.. but I been knowin' her for some years now), I pictured her lookin' like joan lunden, but she really looks like miz hale, that'd be susan charlotte and liddie's mom, what lived on the other side of the back gate when I was a kid. I swear, is near identical. tammy sue.. either looks like my sister (mary sue), or that gal in the movie (peggy sue got married). must be a sue thing. baggie (rofl!) looks like that picture on her webpage. I mean.. what else would she look like? is on her webpage, must be her, yes? funny, that.. cuz sounds like she looks like cher! anno anno This message was from "anno" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. They do come in a set and you can only use the "eraser" marker on the other markers in the set. They are made by "Pentech", but I can't find them in any stores. Does anyone have a clue how to get in touch with the "Pentech" company? They have a cool idea in this book to color in an area (like an oval through a stencil or template) with one of the color markers. Then take the "eraser" pen and color directly on the stamp. Then stamp onto the shape you colored in and it will make a white stamp on a colored shape. It almost looks like a cameo or Wedgewood. It is really cool! Anyone have any ideas?
