By now everyone has read the shenanigans of Pigeon Forge - the other 8 days were just as wild! This lady is one of a kind - God help all of us if He ever creates another one! We laughed and giggled like a bunch of teenagers - non-stop! And what a great house- guest! (She didn't even rearrange my furniture!) And can this one shop! It was obvious that she lives in a *stamping desert* - between me and Lisa, she went to all three stamping stores in Atlanta - and to the specialty paper stores! Her one big suitcase was filled with stamping supplies when she left here - she'll be doing the touchy-feely thing for a long time yet! We didn't get much time for the typical tourist stuff - drove her around some and pointed out some of the sights - went to the Laser Light Show at Stone Mountain Park one night and got a bonus fireworks show we didn't know was going to happen. Ant Judy bought some little yellow antenna - we'll have to find out what she wanted with those...... Barclay treated us all to a wild night at the local Drag Queen Cabaret - Ant Judy was the real show! I think she left the MC speechless at times! We cooked out on Sunday and we had a *stamp-a-thon* on Thursday before heading to Pigeon Forge on Friday. Thanks, Judy, for giving me a great 10 days - John and I really enjoyed having you here and you're welcome to visit ANYTIME!!! I don't know what else you could have done, you have tried to contact this individual, and it's clear that there is a pattern, given the 8 other list members who are in the same position, that is really unfortunate. :( It is difficult since this person is apparently no longer part of this list. Being new to the list, I will presume, what I order will get to me. If not, I will attempt to resolve the issue directly with the individual. And, if that fails, I would have not problem advising other list members of my experience, letting them decide for themselves what they wish to do/or not do. As soon as I opened the package and pulled out the Hershey's Hugs and the video, I immediately stopped what I was doing and sat down to watch it. It was two hours of heaven, for me. I never knew you could do so many things with a brayer! I have the small foam brayer you sent, a soft rubber detachable, brayer that I just bought and a 4 inch foam brayer. Pretty soon I'll need a lucite brayer holder like Dee has on the video. Now with all the ideas I got from the video, there's not going to be anything left white in my whole house (LOL). Lynette, I'm so sorry this happened to you (and to others)... It does make you feel like noone can be trusted. BUT, and its a big but.... Think of all the times when you have been treated wondefully by venders and listees alike. Think of all the times when you bought something or traded something and it was fantastic. If you no longer enter into all this with that spirit of joy, you let that lady win... Really! You allow her to change something joyous into something suspicious. As a teacher, I have had things taken from my room, on occasion. And I tell the kids that I simply refuse to live as if everyone was a thief... One individual should not be given the power to change the way I do things. I count the cost as the cost of living with a loving attitude. If the cost gets too high, I'll rethink all this, but for now, I REFUSE to let idiots/thieves/brats/etc. have that kind of power of me and how I do things..... Just my .02 or .03 or even .04..... Always helps. When *is* your baby due? We are expecting a baby sometime the end of November, or the first half of December. My babies have NEVER come on the due dates. : ) We haven't gotten any baby things yet. It is still a little hard to look. Hope we get over that before the baby comes! Some is Excessive - Yes!!! I think the advertisers have a balancing act on their hands: advertise enough so that people don't forget about you, but not so much that people delete the messages without reading. Some advertisers' posts I read without hesitation, others I delete, again without hesitation. Frankly, I base my ad perusal on the vendor's reputation. The only time I am offended by numerous advertisements is when a vendor continues advertising product while holding my money and not sending me my order. I am in that situation with one vendor right now, and have been since early June. My order is either "in the mail" or my queries go unanswered, either way, I have nothing, and the vendor has my money :( I am not talking about a situation where a minimum is waiting to be met -- that's another situation, entirely. I'm talking about "I've got the stock in hand right now." I have only had this happen with one list vendor, every other vendor has been absolutely, completely and totally fantastic to do business with.
