I got some super cards! Marci Williams aka Stampalicious sent a card with a neat celestial rollagraph covering the front and back in blue. In the middle of the front is an embossed sun (looks like clear embossing over silver- really nice effect!) attached with foam tape. A great card! No name sent a really cute bookmark that says Hogs and Kisses at the top and has a country looking pig in the middle which is colored and some type of country rollagraph border at the bottom which has also been colored in. I like how you combined these different stamps to make a really cute bookmark! Another no name sent a pretty envy with a rollergraph of butterflies and flowers at the bottom and larger butterflies that appear to be coming up out of the garden. Its done on white in shades of blue, red, orange and purple and ir very pretty! Tammy Sue Reynolds used white cardstock and rounded the corners. Then she covered it with the shamrock rollagraph and topped that with a layer of bright green and a layer of white. The top layer of white has some shamrocks on it and little shamrock confetti (where did you get this?). She also ran the shamrock rollergraph through the middle and attached a green mesh type bow (great idea). Underneath that is a real penny attached with foam mounting tape and the words 'Good Luck"! This is a super card with some really fresh ideas. I can really relate to it with my Luck o the Irish ancestry! :-) Val Kildaw aka The Mountain Stamper used the wave rollergraph to cover the front of her card in bblue surf except for the center which contains a rope frame (I have this one but haven't used it yet!) that has been embossed in woven tapestry EP (very nice shade). Inside the rope frame is a pretty underwater scene with shells, planlife etc that has been embossed and accented with blue and white glitter. This is really pretty! She topped it off with a card in a card. I opened the card to find a mermaid coming out of the sea and this is stamped on some gorgeous paper that looks like leaves are in it. A simply gorgeous card! Thanks to everyone! These swaps have been absolutly fantastic. I have gotten so many great ideas and learned so many new ways of doing things. Happy Stampin! If anyone has a extra card that I could put on the sample wall, I would really appreciate it.... The folks that come in now, love looking at the cards that I already have up. My proposal is: If you will mail me a card to put on the display wall, I will mail you some more of the foil swatches that I have on hand. I will pay for the postage to mail the swatches to you. That way it will be a trade on the cost of the postage. Besure to include your address for me to mail the foils to.... Silja is stamping for the first time ever...and boy is that little gal talented. :-) I take her into my room...and point her in the general direction of alllllll my pretty little stamps...... (hundreds and hundreds of them..LITERALLY)...and told her..here's some scratch paper...make a card....I gave her basic instruction on how to stamp.... and a big set of crayola brand colored pencils...and turned her loose... :-) 2 hours later...she brings me this drop dead georgous STAMPSCAPES pic.....ROFL I mean..of ALL the stamps one could choose for your first time ever..she choose STAMPSCAPES... ohhlalalaaalalallaallaallaalalalalalalalala I didn't have to tell her HOW to use the Tonal Applicator..she figured it out on her own...LOL I give her maybe 6 months at the MOST..and she'll be better than I am.... :-) Plus...she used a combination of stampscapes stamps I've never thought to use together...LOL Goooo figure.... :-) And it WORKED!!!! After viewing her first attempt...I quickly decided she was ready for glossy cardstock...stampscapes.... dye inks....stipple brushes..and markers. :-) she's been working on the same scene as the first time..but doing it in the dye inks and glossy cardstock rather than scrap paper and colored pencils. So far it's looking REALLY good...I can't help but sneak in and peak at it every once in a while...ROFL I told her about the swaps we do..and have very gently started trying to get her to try her hand at one...maybe soon she will be confident enough to try it. :-0 When she brough me her first card....she kinda looked at me and said "ohh my gosh...look what *I* did.." I couldn't help but give her a big hug, and softly giggle to myself..... Silja has expressed an interest in trying her hand at watercolors...and I suppose that will be our next adventure together.... :-) Maybe she can teach ME how to use those watercolors!!! ;-) Just had to share.... I can't believe this! My SSS sent two, count them, two terrific boxes of goodies! Unbelievable stuff again this month! Both boxes were decorated with hot air balloon and town (city/village?) Thanks for the lovely card. On white stock Susan Benedict layered 2 small tri-angles of white wall paper with pink polka dots, set diagonally across from each other. on top of this is a bright pink deckle cut piece of paper with 2 little girls (look like Mary & Laura from lLittle House) with their backs facing me..."Mary" is holding 2 balloons. Very sweet. Thanks, I really needed a pick me up. I'm in day 9 of a big Fibromyalgia flare with no relief. Love & Angel Blessings, InkyAngel (Dorothy Little) I believe there are Angels among us.... Snowmen in the midst of summer was a super idea! All of the cards I received are absolutly magnificant! Thanks to everyone for playing! lruese@gte.net green embossed an evergreen tree and white glittery snowflakes on pale green cardstock. Then she attached a snoman with foam tape. Inside says seasons greetings! Very festive! RB made a card on white cardstock. I love the unique fold. Mulberry snowflakes were stamped all over the card and the edges were trimmed with Fiskars and then sponged (?) in mulberry. A snowman was stamped on the inside of the front and half of him was cut out. Then the card was folded back. Hard to explain but I hope you all know what I mean. A nice phrase was inside. Anyhow, it was new to me and I really love it. I'm not too great with an exacto knife yet but this will be a great way for me to practice! Beautiful card! No name made a pretty card on ivory cardstock with a deep blue layer and then a maroon layer of very soft paper with flecks of gold in it. The top layer is ivory and has a snowman family on it. There is a pretty maroon ribbon at the top. Inside are some snowflakes and a Happy Winter wish! I love the layers here and I think I need that snowman family stamp. Who makes it? RB used the same snowman family in her card. It's neat to see how we all use same stamps in different ways. This card is dark green with a layer of white that has been covered with snowflakes. Then there is another layer of green and a final layer of white. The snoman family was stamped in green. Inside is the Happy Winter message. A very pretty card. Roberta Dalman made her card on navy carstock with white snowflakes embossed all over the front. Then there is a layer of white with a big snowman on it. He is colored in beautifully, The shading is just fantastic here. I wish I could do that! Lovely card! Thanks everyone!
