I got this big package that said Not SSS..:-) This was a Love you package from Carolyn Nelson... This lady is just too much.. :-) I just found out she was at Pidgon Forge and got to meet Giggles, and others. So see, I can find out the TRUE story to most of the convention...LMBO There was 2 beautiful punches. One of them is from Mc Gill, and it is a corner lacing punch, and the other is from Family Treasures, and it is a scalloped punch. These are beautiful. She punched paper with it to show me how it works.. These are awesome punches and to think you can use them for border on your cards. There was 2 stamps, one is a magnolia from PSX.. I love this, I have always wanted one since I am from Miss., and this is our state flower. The other is from ANM, and it is a Mary E stamp of a lady standing there with her hands on her hips saying "Snap Out of it" Funny.. These are great.. There was also 6 color Marvey and Tombows. They are purple, pink, grey, and 2 blues.. :-) I sure need some markers. Would you believe that out of all of the ones I have, I DON"T have a red. Do they make them??? LOL There is a small pack of really pretty rub ons that is of ribbon hearts. I wish I had several packs of these. The would make great add ons to cards.. 2 packs of 4 each of different color mullberry papers. These are from EA, and are such pretty colors.. A pack of Mizuhiki cords from EA. These are so pretty, and I have always wanted some of these.. There are 10 strands of different colors in it.. A pack of cut out window cards from EA. These are really neat. I have seen these in the catalog, but never bought any.. There is a rabbit, cat, pig, and bear in it... A big pack of Miracle Tape 36 yards long.. Wow.. this is something I have to try out. It is from VLV.. Last but not least.. A beautiful catalog from Stampendous.. This is wonderful. I could drool over this thing for months.. I love how they print their catalogs. They have a card sample for most of the stamps, so if any of you have never ordered this catalog, then you MUST do it. Even if you never order the stamps, the cataolg is a must have.. Beautiful...They put their hearts in this catalog... Great work... Thank you so much Carolyn, this was so special. I love you too, and am so lucky to have found you as a friend.. Carolyn found me a few months ago from my SSS form that I sent in because we both had so much in common..:-) I wish I had of gotten to go to the convention so I could have met you.. Sounded like you met a lot of great people... It was great talking to you a couple of days ago, and am glad to see all is going good with you.. But for those who don't... I have been on the list one year this month and a vendor since October 1996. I live about 5 miles from Medford, Oregon (where Stampstruck is) and about 30 miles from Grants Pass, Oregon (where Stamptacular is) Currently, I don't have a website, but I'm working on one! You'll be the first to know when it's up and running! Lass Creations is the name and paper is the game!! I am most well known for my theme paper/embellishment grab bags.(Easter, Valentine's, Lace and Flowers, Colors, Out of Africa, Silver and Gold, etc.) I also carry cardstock, envelopes, gift cards and special sizes, brass charms, buttons, and various other embellishments. Since the bulk of my paper is bought from a local supplier, I can get and keep stock on my shelves all the time! (except when UPS was striking!) Right now I probably have at least 5 cases of paper on my 2 huge shelves and ready to send! I'm tripping over them! Great prices, too! If you need paper price list, I can send one via email. Just ask me. I also have a catty/flyer that shows some of the charms I sell individually, lists the various theme sets of charms and other products. NEW PRODUCT! "Charmed, I'm Sure" A whopper of a grab bag of brass charms! Be watching the RS list for details! Some exciting news for a new product!!! Here's a sneak preview...For February grab bag, I designed a little tiny envelope and my customers loved it! They wanted me to make more, so I have finally been able to do that, but they're not quite finished. I am working on laminating them right now and expect to have them available in October. (just in time for Christmas!) I also order from various companies from time to time. Be watching the list. Thanks for listening. When I talk of blending, I'm referring to applying layers of color over layers of color. I'm talking light layers of color... not the push-the-pencil- down-hard-to-get-the-color-as-dark-as-I-can type of layer. And looking close, you'll actually see tiny particles of all the individual colors that you've used in the area, but the appearance from a distance is a totally different color from any of them. For instance in water ... I may start with a layer of blue... then use yellow over the blue in areas where I want more of a green cast .... or maybe red or purple over areas of the blue, depending on my mood, or work up the page into oranges and pinks and yellows for a sunset... but always in layers. When I'm using colored pencils (which I dearly love!) to color my stampings... I also like to use regular lead pencils (which I also dearly love!) to add depth and create muted colors in the shadows. For example: leaves ... I may start out with a medium green, then blend a yellow into the green where the sunlight hits, a deeper blue-green over other areas and use a lead pencil over leaves or areas that are in the back-ground or completely out of the sunlight. This method of blending works really well also, moving from light to dark... rather than starting with a middle color as I just described. And... for you monochromatic lovers... try coloring your stampings with lead pencils only! Absolutely stunning results can be achieved by moving from stark white to light layers of pencil to darker layers back to light with all the variations of darks and lights in between. Hints on artist quality lead pencils... H stands for Hard lead.... and the higher the number by the H, the harder the lead. ex: 2 H lead is hard, but 6H is much, much harder. B stands for Soft Lead... and the higher the number by the B, the softer the lead. ex: 2 B lead is soft, but 6B is much, much softer. Well, Evo.... rambled enough? :{<> Yeah, I think so.
