I got great mail today. I received my unmounted order from HansenArt and I got so many extras I feel like I should I should pay twice for this order. I got templates, sample boxes, and clear envys as extras with my order. I never expected to get so much for so little money. That is not even the best part! A post office screw up caused a delay in my receiving my order. The Hansens made it up to me by sending extra unmounteds. Now thats the way to keep a customer coming back! Thank you for great service. I received my Newbie Vellum order from Fran the Frantic Stamper. A beautiful sample card with instructions on how to use vellum to make a card is included in the package. I guess she knows that I have a tendency to order items I don't have a clue about how to use. Including the sample and instructions is a stroke of genius. I know I will get lots of use out of this order. Thank you for your great service too. I have added you both to my list of Vendors I will definitely spend money with again! Not all of us feel the same way you do about AJ. You may not be aware of the fine things she does for many of us and that's too bad. I am a little confused about your relationship with Judy tho. You mentioned that you just joined this list but yet you say that she has been on your list since way back when. If this is a personal thing, then perhaps you should take it up with Judy. AJ has never been afraid to vocalize her opinion or feelings, and whether or not you agree with her, she does have the right to do so. The news is better! She's still in critical condition, and still on a ventillator. HOWEVER, she now can open her eyes, which she hasn't until now. And, she is alert and able to sign language to her mom . . . this evening she wanted to know why she couldn't talk! They did try to take out the ventillator today, but after measuring the blood gasses they decided to put it back, and try again tomorrow. That's a little scary, but at least they tried. Please keep your prayers coming! And, if anyone wants to send a card (please, please!) just e-mail me and I'll send you the address. Thank you for your concern--it has helped us all so much this week. My dear Heather's best friend Shanna got very ill suddenly. She's 18. Understand, these kids have gone to the same church since 2nd grade. They call each other sisters. The moms (my friend Lea and I) were single parents "together" for 10 years, and we (and our kids) were always in each other's homes. Lea is my daughter's "other mother" and Shanna is my "other daughter." Shanna seemed to have the flu starting Saturday night. Went to the doctor Monday, got medicine, didn't get better. Tuesday morning at 1 am she was rushed to emergency. They operated on her at 9 am (exploratory), and removed lots of infected tissue. She appeared to be doing well, and then about noon her breathing slowed to almost nothing. I don't really understand what happened, but they have her on a ventillator now. She has a heart catheter too, and tubes everywhere! They are keeping her "comfortable," as she is fighting the IV's instead of the infection. Diagnosis? Here's what I've heard--peritonitis, toxic shock, blood poisoning, strep, and pneumonia in one lung. Now, on Wednesday night, VERY cautiously optimistic that she might make it. She's still on the critical list in ICU, and is expected to stay there for at least another week. Please send your prayers and good wishes! If you'd like to send Shanna or her Mom Lea a card (and I know we have some great card-makers out there), e-mail me (please put SARA in the subject line) and I'll send you their address. There are several more stressors in my life at the moment, but none more important than Shanna getting better. Thanks for listening! I am sure, but that's okay too. I don't like everyone on this list either, but that's human nature. Standing up for your convictions, whether or not I agree with them is your right. As it is with AJ. I have even on occasion disagreed with AJ, but she is still a good friend. It's amazing how important this list is in times of crisis...we share together. I'm so glad you're all here with me as we mourn this loving and lovely lady.
