Friends. ------------------------------ From: WubbuWu@aol.com Date: Sat, 15 Feb 1997 01:39:26 -0500 (EST) Subject: RS TAN: Asthmatic now home & Girl Scout Tattoo How's that for an odd combination of subjects? Thanks to all of you who sent notes when Reed was in the hospital. We brought her home late Tuesday. Have to do the breathing treatments every 6 hours for another few days, then twice a day until spring. But that's small potatoes compared to facing another hospitalization. You'd never know she was sick (she sure doesn't). Since I was in a celebratory mood I made an appointment to get some permanent pigmentation done (that's fancy talk for tattooed eye liner). I got lip color & liner done several months back and absolutely love it (I naturally have no pink in my lips). Don't freak, I'm very careful about safety/hygiene. Had my lips done in a doctors office (trust me, you want that nerve block before you get them lips tattooed). Well, to make a long story short, the tattoo machine she uses on eyes had gone on the blink, so I have to wait another week for the eyes. Not wanting to waste a good trip to a tattoo artist I decided to get the Girl Scout logo (the traditional not the contemporary) tattooed on my hip. I happened to have my rubber stamp of the pin in my purse so we had a model. It looks fabulous! It's in a place where it won't show unless I've got on a french cut bathing suit. But I can see it, and I love it. Happy stamping, W. ------------------------------ From: StampnGrnd@aol.com Date: Sat, 15 Feb 1997 01:46:42 -0500 (EST) Subject: OFFICIAL "MY FAVORITE THANG" (thing) SWAP update Still taking sign-ups for the swap! Card You sly SSS-O-Mine. Yesterday (Thursday) I got the cutest card with a saftey-pin-and-bead pin on it, white with a red heart (of course). The card was white, dry embossed, and decorated with red confetti. As usual, the rest of the office was way jelous. Some of the pins had come open and bead were off, but all were in the envelope. I don't say that to make you feel bad, I actually want to tell you it was a good thing. I've avoided making those pins thinking they were to "fine motor skill" for me. But I put that sucker back together in no time at all (without hurting myself). Thanks for the inadvertant "class". We are offering return address labels with the Stamper A Day Image on them. The labels include up to 4 lines of type. The labels are white and measure 2 5/8" x 1" and include the Stamper A Day Image that Robin had designed and is allowing us to use. They come 30 to a sheet and are available at a cost of $1.00 for the first sheet and $.75 for each additional sheet ordered at the same time, plus postage. Up to 4 sheets would be $.55 for the postage. Giggles and I have formed a little enterprise where we are providing return address labels to the pen pal community that she is actively involved in. We have formed this partnership as another means to help Giggles with some of her medical expenses. We are in the process of putting together a catalog of images that can be used. In the meantime, we would like to offer to the list, return address labels. As stated before, these labels will have the Stamper A Day as the graphic image on the left side of the label along with a return address to the right. If any of you would like to place an order, please send it to me along with a check or money order for the appropriate amount made out to: Don Glaser 4755 Yuma Ave., Apt. C Oceanside, CA 92057-5847 You may include the postage in the amount you send, or just enclose loose stamps for the postage. Either way is fine. An envelope is not necessary. Please remember to print exactly how you would like the label to read. Also please include your email addy should I have any questions.
