All 4 stamps have not been recieved that went to her. Yes, she has problems, yes, I have problems, and yes, most all of us have problems, but if she wasn't going to do anything with them, then since her mother Nancy had all of that time to spend on here chatting and downloading, getting money from everyone for pattern books, then since she had all of that time, why didn't she send the 4 stamps on the the next people. Not only did this put all of us that was waiting on the stamps in a bind, but it also put Dawn in a shorter bind since all of these stamps that was sent out for this swap was Dawn's own personal stamps.. Now, we are all having to be put on hold while Dawn gets more stamps and sends them to the ones that got shorted. Not only did this make us slow on this swap, it also ripped Dawn off from the stamps that belonged to her. If Lisa didn't want to do the swap, all she had to do was send the stamps back to Dawn. I don't know if she did it or not, but I do know this affected 4 swaps and Dawn loosing 4 stamps.. Ann >I think people start feeling this way because they can't get in touch >with Lisa. Was away for a couple of days and when I got back, the purple swap was sitting there, just begging to be opened. here's what I got! Lori Nelson: Purple Madi Gras mask with feathers, ribbons and sequins added as embelishments, (in purple of course). Bottom edge is scalloped and highlighted in purple as well. The feathers really make this card. Stargazer: thanks for hosting this swap! Your card has a DeNami(?) butterfly embossed in purple glitter on pink cardstock. This is cut out and layered overpurple, then white, then purple and finally on top of white with purple ink spots. Stephanie: Birdhouse fram colored in pencils and used the pencils. Great job coloring this! The image is cut out and then layered on top of light purple texture paper and then on top of linen with purple dots. Great composition. Roseann Strickland: What flower shows purple better than pansies, right? Leaves to this flower were crimped and then layered over texture paper and mulberry paper. Bottom edge was cut back to show pansy border. oops, pansy is crimped too. Thanks for the card. Angie: White glossy card sponged purple with a center oval cut out. On a seperate paper and oval was pressured embossed with the flower psray in the middle. Corner heart design highlights the edges with a ribbon to top everything off. Thanks! Sandra Luck: A single rose stamped and cut out, mounted on a seperate cardstock. Colored and then watercolored, this rose is layered under a purple celephane paper. Front of card uses wrapping poaper to hold celephane to card front and purple cording on top finishes up the card. What a neat idea. To those who had my card, I'd be happy to send a different one if you weren't thrilled with what I did. I know I wasn't. Just drop me a line, and I'll get another one out to you. Fwd: RS: what swaps Lisa S hosting Uh - oh...this wasn't meant to start a flame war!!!! But if you want to start TAG...... I was MERELY asking if there were any swaps she was hosting right now. She is ill and has many problems right now..ALL she needs is to have cards come barreling in and her have to worry about distributing swaps and cards to whomever she signed up. She has more important things to worry about - healing herself, her dear children and family. If I was signed up for any swaps that she was hosting I would drop just out of kindness. Less work and hassle to worry about for her. Never did I say that she did anything wrong!!! Where do you get off saying that or even assuming that???????? Rachel, if she is ill and seems like she does need the help write now...how could she possibly send out a swap or two now? No big deal....It seems there are a few people on the list do tend to blow things out of proportion but what the heck - it's their right. Guess that's what you figured when you sent me that email. Well flame me if you want...but honey I have nothing against Lisa. If she is ill - I wish her the best. (in fact I have a get well card in the mail to her!) and I pray for her daughter who is ill too. Please check all the facts before starting things.....thank you. Rubberhugs... Frankly, the ugliness that everyone is demonstrating regarding Lisa has me very confused. I haven't yet seen a post where someone can actually saw she did them wrong. If you have indeed been wronged by her, I would like to hear the facts of the matter. Rachel Kline >That post had me thinking.... >What swaps was she hosting? >I write them down and always forget to write who is hosting them .... >Darn I hope that I haven't sent any cards that way...what a waste...could >have sent them to all my forgotten people in my address book. Why I Won't Be Coming to Work Today When I got up this morning I took two Ex-Lax in addition to my Prozac. I can't get off the john, but I feel good about it. I set half the clocks in my house ahead an hour and the other half back an hour Saturday and spent 18 hours in some kind of space-time continuum loop, reliving Sunday (right up until the explosion). I was able to exit the loop only by reversing the polarity of the power source exactly e*log(pi) clocks in the house while simultaneously rapping my dog on the snout with a rolled up Times. Accordingly, I will be in late, or early. My stigmata's acting up. I can't come in to work today because I'll be stalking my previous boss, who fired me for not showing up for work. OK? I have a rare case of 48-hour projectile leprosy, but I know we have that deadline to meet... I am stuck in the blood pressure machine down at the PayLess. Yes, I seem to have contracted some attention-deficit disorder and, hey, how about them Skins, huh? So, I won't be able to, yes, could I help you? No, no, I'll be sticking with Sprint, but thank you for calling. Constipation has made me a walking time bomb. I just found out that I was switched at birth. Legally, I shouldn't come to work knowing my employee records may now contain false information. The psychiatrist said it was an excellent session. He even gave me this jaw restraint so I won't bite things when I am startled. The dog ate my car keys. We're going to hitchhike to the vet. I prefer to remain an enigma. My mother-in-law has come back as one of the Undead and we must track her to her coffin to drive a stake through her heart and give her eternal peace. One day should do it. I can't come to work today because the EPA has determined that my house is completely surrounded by wetlands and I have to arrange for helicopter transportation. I am converting my calendar from Julian to Gregorian. I am extremely sensitive to a rise in the interest rates. I refuse to travel to my job in the District until there is a commuter tax. I insist on paying my fair share. - -- September Special Days ********************** 7th Grandparents Day 9th 1st Quarter 1th Begin Diocletian Year 14th Begin Grecian Year 16th Total Lunar Eclipse, Harvest Moon 17th Citizenship Day This message was from Queen of Everything - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
