I had so much fun playing in this swap (I am even thinking about hosting my own...perhaps with a January due date; anyone interested?) Anyway I got some great stuff: Carol Olani: Wonderful shell and fish earrings! I loved the little twists and pearls. These are so much fun!!! Ann-onymous: Orange and yellow sun on shrink plastic. Great earrings! Carol Otani: 2 pink and red hearts, one with dots and one with stripes. These are going to be my valentine earrings!! Love them! No Name: Too bad you didn't put your name on these. They are beautiful! Angel postoids colored in blue, pink, yellow and purple. I am going to make a pin out of the larger angel you attached the earrings to. Love these!! Susan Uncle: Shrink plastic teddy wearing yellow sweater with a red heart on it. These are wonderful!!! I will have to fight my next door neighbor for these when she sees them! Maxine Grossman: Thanks so much for hosting this and for the magnets. My Mom was visiting when the package came so the two of us were oohing over them. I had to surrender the angel magnet to her. She fell in love with it. I dearly love the earrings you did of the spirit dancer on the natural colored clay. They are so cool!!!! They look like stone carvings. I love them!!! No Name: Puffer fish with kissing lips. These are soooo funny! Great stamp. What fun!!!! Lori Nelson: Cream hearts with pink rosebuds. These are so pretty and delicate looking. Nice choice!!! No Name: Pencil earrings. I would never have thought of this idea. It is very cute! No Name: Shrink plastic triangles that look like white lace and rosebuds. Very pretty. The ribbon bows is also a nice touch! Tammy Sue Reynolds: Rubber stamp earrings made from rubber. They also have red beads on them. These are so great! What a smart cookie you are!! Thanks to everyone. I really enjoyed getting these!!!! This message was from "Brenda J. Volpe" - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum. I felt such an overwhelming sadness this weekend. We have to remember, our lives are all connected in one body ,so to speak, and we have a choice to ignore when a part of that body is hurting or is sick (which causes further illness) or to heal. After watching Princess Diana's funeral this weekend and hearing about Mother Theresa's death, I told the children that when people THAT GOOD die, it's as if there is an explosion, and the essense of all that is good in them is scattered across the earth like the seeds of a flower, looking for a place to germinate and grow again. I told them , if they REALLY wanted that person to NEVER die, all they had to do was to open their hearts for one of those seeds to find a place to plant itself. I hope we all do this!!! For the LOVE we share with our families and with each other!! There have been some bitter and hurtful words exchanged here recently and I feel if we try not to rush to judgement of each other and try to rember what it feels like to be forgiven when WE make mistakes, we will have more patience and compassion for one another!! LOOK for GOD in each other and that's ALL you will see! I hope I haven't spoken out of place or offended anyone, this message is only for those who want to be a part of the changes these two wonderful women devoted their lives to. God Bless Us Everyone! I can't help wondering if this is the same Amethyst who signed up for a swap I hosted a few months back, then dropped off the face of the earth and did not answer several emails asking about the status of her stuff. Suck goes both ways, perhaps. I'm failing to understand why it has to be "one list roooooolz and the other sucks"...we are all pretty much (with a few exceptions) out of high school, no? The different lists meet different needs. What's wrong with finding the one that fits our needs and just enjoying it? My daughter's birthday is on November 29. Just a few days before December 5, when we celebrate Sinterklaas, which is a Dutch tradition, like Santa Claus, he gives gifts to children. So, in just one week time my daughter gets loads of gifts, for her birthday and for Sinterklaas, which we celbrate both on their intended day. First I felt sorry for her, getting a whole load of things in one week and notheing (well, nothing......) the rest of the year. But she doesn't seem to mind. Her birthday is very important to us, all birthdays are. I think she would feel left out or so if we didn't celebrate it on THE day. I want to thank all of those who sent postcards for my mother-in-law to send to her friend Benito. She was so tickled! Talk about a kid in a candy store! (BTW, she really did! Her dad owned one long ago) The cards were great, and she has a stack of them ready to send on to Italy. Thank you ever so much. I would love to thank you all by name, but she has gotten to the mailbox so many times before me, that I haven't even seen them all. Just an occasional, "I got another postcard!" followed everyonce in a while by a "neener, neener neener" when I had no mail :) Thanks again!
