I just aged some paper for the music swap (Yes I will have it in the mail tomorrow!). I wanted it to look very old, ie. tattered and slightly torn. I acheived this effect by boiling 8 teabags in 2 qts of water. While still boiling crumpled the paper and boiled it for 7 minutes. I strained it, then very carefully un-crumpled and laid it flat to dry. I was then planning on ironing it to get it flat, but decided all the wrinkles etc. added a lot of character. Thr crumpling of the paper made some little holes in come of the creases etc. and the result was a very tattered/old looking piece of paper. I loved it! Because I staggered putting the peices of paper in the water I had a couple levels of coloring too, so just experiment! I knew you could use tea, but how you used I had no idea so I just experimented and happene to have success. Give it a try! I'm re-sending. I haven't been on much due to my surgery. Thanks for checking up!!----I also will resend the "Sondthroo Kitty" request for you. Sheila - ------------------------- Yea!! I got my SS package! It was wrapped in so much paper, I never thought I'd get to the actual goodies! But is was full of neat things. First it had some sticker paper which I was in need of, a cute magnetic note pad that is now on the fridge, some Daubers (I have been wanting these!), makeup sponges, a key chain that I can stamp a little picture to put in, a cupie doll stamp, a Hero Arts stamps that says "Hope you have a bountiful season" which is great for fall cards, two ink pads (turquoise and copper) and a WHOLE flat of rubber!!! At least I think this is what people consider a flat. It has a ton of stamps on it!! ANd they are just my style!!!! Now to buy some more wood from Jutta. This was a great package!! Thanks!! Now for the bad part--I am going in for Carpal Tunnel surgery in about 5 minutes (6:30 a.m.) on my right hand. SO, everything has to wait to be played with. But as soon as I can stamp again, I will have lots of new things to try!! Thanks for the note. I have responded as you have requested in another email.
