Wow. You are the greatest! For those of you who didn't choose to take up this lady's offer you lost out big time. I received several cards (old to her, blessing to me) and she even filled my request for specialty cards. Although I have patterns for some of these cards believe me the actual thing really makes a difference. I received two explosion cards, one of which looks like a pinwheel and could be a small gift box, a slider card and a hidden message card. I had just recently cut out the pieces to make a hidden message card (from the pattern swap I joined) but couldn't for the life of me figure out how to put the darn thing together. So am I excited over these cards???????????????? I CAN'T BEGIN TO TELL YOU ! THANKS A MILLION RUBBERMADE! I'd like to add that I feel sometimes like I'm in a catch twenty-two. I want to join an explosion, flinger, shaker card swap to see what you are all making but can't participate because I don't know how to make them. It really helps us out when you can take the time to trade your technique with us newbies. I finally feel comfortable participating in swaps but stick to just regular cards. I know, I know, there are a lot of tips and techniques out there and I have been collecting them - but I'm a visual learner. Following patterns is really hard for me. I do appreciate all the help this list gives and I have learned a lot. The box didn't look big enough to hold so much - I just kept pulling out more and more. I love the card. And the little book is just great. Beautiful paper and embellishments. I hadn't seen the way the ribbon is attached at the back before and I like it. I think I'm going to try making little books like this. I got lots of gallery glass paints in wonderful colors - now I really need to try these for the stained glass stamps I have. I got 6 different colors. I already had some gallery glass paint, but in a different kind of bottle - they all seem more opaque than these, which are translucent and transparent. I had to stop and put these on some aluminum foil - they are going to be a lot of fun! Now I know what the popsicle sticks are for - stirring them. Perfect Paper Adhesive - I've been reading so much about this I can hardly wait to try it out. And two kinds of Perfectfx, too - Sparkling Champagne and Essence of Pearl. I haven't tried this yet, but I've already got some ideas... And some pretty glitter, too, and some ribbons and soft feathers in pretty pastels - these will be perfect for something special. Or I may have to hoard them, since I don't think I've seen such nice feathers at my craft stores. Several ums - which I always appreciate! I love the aglaia. I do already have several of Evo's ums already - should have told you last month that I have most of her stuff because I love it. So these were a very good choice for me, even though I have many of them, and I will see that they find good homes where people will love them. Matchbook covered notepads, little round gift tags to stamp, lots of envelopes, gingham paper notecards (I LOVE these!), pretty floral wrapping paper (the box was wrapped in this, too and it arrived looking wonderful and I knew right away it had to be from you!), rubber finger tips (cool idea for stamping with), staple remover, little bag of mocha coffee and two ink pads. I sure don't know how you packed all of this into that box, though. All three of these packages so far have been so wonderful - I'm still very happily using all the things from the last two months. SS, you've been so good to me - lots of HUGS back to you, too. It's so great being spoiled! It's past my bedtime, but I sure wish I could stay up and play with these some more. But I have next week off for a trip to the coast - one of the best reasons to live in Oregon - so I'll have plenty of time to play then. Time for a quick happy dance and then off to bed. I just signed up for one of these. You get a name from M.O.M. or Dad and then you send that person a box once a month for 6 months full of goodies (usually stamp related but not always - up to you). In return for your largesse, you are sent a box from someone at the same intervals. The key to it is that you never know who your SS is so you just have to thank him/her on the list. You absolutely have to share the descriptions of what came in the box with the group. This lets the powers that be know that everyone got their boxes and it also lets us see what people got.
