I was in Micheal's yesterday and it's really bare in there. I was given a 40% off coupon that expired yesterday and I used that to get a $20 Fiskars rotary cutter with 3 blades included, I won't be able to get there for the special sale times so I asked if they were going to be stocking more before the sale. I figured that if they would re-stock I would re-arrange somethings so I could go. The girl who is in charge if shipping and receiving said that they have huge numbers of boxes in the store room, she gets 45 (average) boxes each day. It takes her all day to check them in and she has no time and no help to put the stock out on the shelves!! She told me that a couple of items I would have gotten with my coupons weren't even in the store room so I got them at full price. I asked to speak to the manager and I told him that I thought it was rediculous that other employees were standing around doing nothing when they could have been \re-stocking the store to get ready for the sale. His answer was vague and meant to pacify my. I let him know that I "talk" to stampers all across the country and that I believe that it is a company policy to do this since everyone complains of this same thing every time they have this sale. He basically had no answer for me. Jerk. The thing I paid full price for is a glass etching kit. I've been wanting to try this for some time now, and while I was in New Hampshire visiting Giggles and Peter Pan I saw a car that had a beautiful rose etched into the side window. I am going to do that! I will practice on wine bottles, first. On the front was Rubbernecker's Gingerbread House all done up with sparkly little candies. Very cutesy. On the inside was typed in small letters in the upper left corner, "...then Hansel and Gretl pushed the evil witch into the fiery oven and lived happily ever after" In the middle of the inside of the card, it said in large letters, "I hope you have a 'sweet' Christmas!" This was the first Christmas after I became single again. My friends thought I was making freudian suggestions. Hello Everyone, After reading the emails for a few days it appears that lots of you like using little charms on your stamping projects. Those of you who may have read my introduction post know that I design needlework charts for a living. In many of these designs I use the same little charms you are using. I order these charm by the gross in many cases at wholesale prices. While I can't sell them wholesale to the public I could get you a very decent price on these charms. Here's an example: Size=15 x 18 mm, Antique Pewter: Wheelbarrow, watering can or birdhouse would be around .75 cents each if I just order/sell a few. The price goes lower the more I order/sell. I can get the charms in many finishes also. If anyone might be interested in this then I will see what I can put together as far as black & white drawings and prices? What a surprise!!!!! I got your box today!!!! It was really neat because it arrived on my birthday. The acrylic brayer is soooo neat. I will have to take out my Kaleidoscope pads and make some background postcards. The stamps were really cute. I love the Halloween stamps and the carousal horse will look super with those brayered backgrounds. Envelopes!!!!! I can always use more envelopes! Suze's triple embossing powder. Everytime Suze is in town I take her classes and the embossing powder is one of her greatest techniques!!! Thank you. The candles and soaps are wonderful!!!!!!!!! School has been extremely stressful this year and I WILL use these to get my life back where it is supposed to be. And...thank you for the birthday CD and for the card...
