Figured this one was for me. It was. On carefully opening the envy, it was a knockout card from Mary Hackney, the first monthly mail swap card I've gotten. The card itself is square matte white stock, with large oriental symbols in the corners--ideogram, chrysanthemum, heron . Centered on the card are several layers, all square, and rotated so that one corner points up. There is gold foil, then red foil, then a piece that looks like gold chicken wire, then a pearlized, momi-type paper , and finally, ta da, the crowning touch: A stunning origami kimono made of yuzen paper, black ground with slashes of red, gold, and white. Mary was kind enough to include an kimono pattern so I could *play.* Thanks, Mary. This was a real class act. My piece is still being birthed . And it seems to iron freezer paper and "wonder under" just fine. I actually prefer wonder under for a lot of things since You can iron/bond stuff on both sides. EG: I can put tissue paper on one side and card stock scored for my envy on the other giving me a lined envy. Same exact process as waxed paper,... Hope this helps! It is a lamination that does not require heat or electricity. Any laminated sheet can be cut afterwards without loosing the seal as with regular lamination. The one I have laminates sheets up to 8.5 inches wide and as long as you want, up to 100 feet. There's another machine that will laminate wider sheets. The extra benefits to this machine is that it has 2 more options. You can apply an adhesive to one or both sides of a sheet of paper, you can laminate one or both sides of a sheet of paper, or, you can laminate one side and apply adhesive to the other side. This machine retails for $199 and each cartridge (laminating, adhesive, and the laminating/adhesive combo) sell separately. Each cartridge has 50 - 100 feet of lamination or adhesive. Even though it is more pricey than the small laminating machine, it is, in my opinion, is the best option for stampers. I've tried the smaller, less expensive laminators only to have them break down. This just has so many more options. If I buy these machines in quantity, I can get a better deal on them, and would then be able to sell them at a lower price. So, if any of you are interested, please let me know. We may be able to get a deal on a group order.
