The poor thing has practically spent her whole life in a cage and because of the large amounts of litters she bore, has lost most of her teeth. She is a gentle girl who loves her new home and all the attention she gets!!! If I can get on my soapbox for a minute...PLEASE do not buy your puppies from a pet store. I don't know who you are, how long you've been on this list, etc., but I have never seen you post before to this list. And I read pretty much every post on here. How much do you really know about this list? Were you here earlier this year when we raised over $1000 for a fellow member of the list who needed surgery her insurance didn't cover? What about all the vendors from this list who donated products for this cause? And how about all the money that's been raised by a list member who sells address labels to benefit Linda (another list member) who is going thru treatment for a life-threatening disease? You say you don't want to be bombarded by messages about how wonderful and caring we are - so it sounds to me like you'd just rather join in with the whining. Like I have told numerous other newcomers to this list - ignore the tangents if you don't want to read this stuff - and use your delete key! If more people would learn to just ignore it, and quit feeding the flames, they would go away. Besides, this is an unmoderated list, and if you don't like it, please don't whine about it to those of us who love our 'extended family' - we've heard it all before. And like a true family, we stick it out thru the tough times. I am trying very hard to make my receiver happy, too, and think I am succeeding. However, it appears to me that some people are being TOO demanding when they start crying over a "missed" package on just the first day of the next month. Golly, anybody can be a few days late by accident. And the post office can cause problems without the sender or receiver having any control of it. Lynette - I loved your cat stories!! I can picture your husband's reaction with a dead mouse on his foot -- still warm, no less!!!! ROTFLMAO!!!! Several months ago I had stepped out of the shower, tossed on a robe (thank heavens!) and began combing out my hair. William came in making this funny little chirpy noise. I look down and ***he had a lizard in his mouth!!**** Down here where I live there are chameleon-like lizards everywhere outside. They don't hurt anything, and they eat a lot of bugs, so I like having them around -- outside. I don't want one in my house. This little guy must have darted in when I went to get the mail. I snatched William up, ran out the front door and jumped up and down yelling, "Drop IT! Drop IT! Drop IT!" at the top of my lungs. Now, my neighbors already think I'm strange: I have a bunch of indoor cats, I work night shift so I sleep all day, I smile and nod to everyone but otherwise keep to myself. Thank heavens I had put on that robe or I would have been standing out there stark naked!!!! And of course, this happened at 5 in the afternoon, so everyone was coming home from work and all witnessed the spectacle 8<>! They are selling off all of their fixtures and the prices are just right (like they don;t wanna keep a thing) Anyway I did check out the "music" dept and while they do not have the Cassette racks left I managed to look around the rest of the fixtures and found a terrific paper sorter for $ 10.00. This is the hugh one they used for showing some kind of stationary. Anyway, thought I would pass this locale around Jann This message was from JannieQ@aol.com - -- The rubberstampers mailing list is proudly sponsored by the Dueling Modems Arts & Crafts Forum.
