She admitted she is an embellishment nut, too! Hmm, now that changes who I thought you were! Oh well, it's only 2 more months 'til I find out who you are!! :) This is what was in there and it was so fast to get here from the other night when you posted!! A bag full of party paper 'fetti. Do you have ideas for this? I have some and don't know how to use it. I like the natural for upcoming country Christmas! A handmade card with birdhouse embossed in gold and a button on tied on the front! Hmm, could you be giving me a clue with the button? A little book called "angels ever in our midst" I love this little book!!! SSS, are you the crafty person who made the Christmas pearl icicle ornmanets, the depresser snowman ornaments???? I love those snowmen! One could be me and one could be you. LOL! Scarecrow plant poker for one of my plants, I have quite a few plants in my home! They will love this for fall, especially since I have more stuff to go with it! WOW! is what my daughter and I both said when we saw the "whole" roll of Christmas ribbon with the gold lace edges! I had to fight Kira for the Nestle Crunch Christmas candy you sent! BUT, I decided she was so sweet, that I should share. A bottle of RED embossing powder~which we did not have! :) Kira likes the color red, so I have to share that, too. :) A Love Stamp from ANM. I have always wanted that stamp and didn't get it yet!! Thank you! Bright gold 3D fabric paint, and also good for your cards! Some handmade envys!!! Using white with sparkles tissue and ???? A BIG bag of ribbons!! A bookmark that describes me to a "t" when I read. Now, I thought I had told someone about this a while ago and can't remember who it was! IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN YOU! :) It says "this is where I fell asleep" A potholder with a cat and sewing stuff all over it! Too cute! Now, that could be a clue.... all that sewing stuff! Now, I'm going crazy trying to figure out who you are! SSS, your packages are so much fun to open! Anything you do for me is always appreciated! All my life, I have given handmade gifts. It's nice getting some from someone else. Don't ever think because I am a vendor, that I have it all! There is so much out there and somehow, I have only gotten one duplicate out of all the boxes from the 3 rounds I have been in! It's pretty good! My friend, Linda and I laughed and laughed together at the things this author does! She is for real, though and we learned a lot from her book. It's been so long now, that I forgot. Guess I'll have to get it out and read it again! I do have some of my own, though. This is how we have survived all these years, by using shortcuts! One thing I do to save money is to recycle the zip lock plastic bags for veggies and other foods. I don't keep them if they've had greasy foods in them, or mayo from sandwiches. We seem to go through alot of those, so I just wash them and reuse them over and over until I can't stand the water spots anymore! I learned this from my SIL years ago for frying bacon, which I don't often do anymore because of the fat. Or anything where you have to drain the grease off of something. Use your brown paper bags instead of paper towels or napkins. Save those for wiping your face! LOL! Another one is done at Christmastime to send gifts to relatives far away. One year, I didn't have enough packing material and needed light cushioning, so I used the little left over peices of gift wrap instead of newspaper. Since I was sending this to kids, they loved looking at all the designs of gift wrap and thus I didn't throw it away in my trash for the garbage man to take to the dump! I probably have more, but that's all for now! HUGS! Have a good night! Sheesh - he just *loves* his embossing gun! > thank you Nisa great job and you are gonna be an endangered newbie if you > keep embossing with such terrific results !! You're welcome, Betsy! I know it was a little early - in fact, it could have been earlier because I made it about 3 weeks ago! LOL! I was so excited when I finished it, I wanted to send it right away to you! Good thing I'm a procrastinator and let it sit around for a few weeks! Sorry about the little smudges and stuff - I forgot I was working on glossy paper! > > TTYS and how is your new place??? and teh hot sauce ????betsy > Thanks for asking about my place! It's just the *perfect* place for me - the one I'd been searching high and low for! We were planning to have me moved in by the end of this weekend - LOL - all we were able to get done was painting the bedroom and shampooing the carpet! Hopefully everything will be in place by the end of next weekend! The hot sauces keep piling up faster than I can eat 'em! Durnit, I was hoping I'd be able to get through this message with no more than 3 exclamation marks, but I used up way more than my quota. Sorry 'bout that! I can't help it! Well, we didn't get as much moving in as we thought we would, so since I'm not aching or especially exhausted, I'm back on the list! I missed seeing 200 messages pile up in my mailbox! Anyway, I've got more questions! #1. I asked this question on Rubbertown, but got no response - I have a stamp that has a figure in the foreground and decorative doodads in the background - is it possible to get emboss the stamp so that the figure is black-embossed and the background is white-embossed? I tried using an embossing pen to go over the doodads in the back before embossing them with white-ep (after embossing the figure in black ep), but clear embossing pens are really crappy when used with light/white ep's (they show up with a blue tinge!). Any ideas or suggestions? #2. I'm looking for earthy and natural tones cardstock - who sells these colors? Thanks for reading and I'm glad to be back among you RS'ers! Cynthia sent me a very nice Thank You card for the RAK I sent her. It's cloudy-blue cs. The front is stamped with a random pattern of small hearts. Across the center are 3 embossed squares within a larger square, that have hearts in the center; lines are radiating out from inner & outer squares. The squares on the outside match, but the one in the center has a glittery pinkish background. It's heart is red while the other 2 are white. Inside is a Fiskar-edged white paper on which is stamped, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. The must be felt with the heart. ---Helen Keller" I like that. Very nice, Cyn! Thank you!! She actually sent HER SIL to = deliver a package to me! It was so funny, I was at the Stampers' Garden helping ring up customers = (it was VERY busy) and this very pleasant young lady comes in w/ this = absolutely ADORABLE little girl in a stroller. The young lady seemed a little "lost" and she asked "is there a stamping = store in here?" I said, "why yes and we are having demos today, you just go down the = aisle" She said "well I have a package for someone" "who?" I asked (I'm so curious:O) "Ellen Gengler" "well that is me" "your secret sister wanted me to give you this" and she handed me a = package wrapped in black tissue paper w/ a yellow ribbon tied around it. I was THRILLED! How special! I opened it up and there was 2 of my favorite brand of candy (how did = you know???) It is the Russell Stover Almond Delights - yummy. A package = of meaty snacks for my two doggies and a gorgeous PIN that she made: a = haunted house w/ a ghost, bat and skeleton hanging down. Well I put the pin on right away and hid the chocolate (there were way = too many stampers around, I thought it best to conceal the candy until a = more "private" time.) THANK you SS! I got my Fall Scavenger Hunt package yesterday! It was so much fun to come home after a hard day working outside and be able to sit down, relax and go through all my goodies. The package was decorated so beautifully I hesitated (but not too long!) to open it. It was stamped with all sorts of fall leaves in different colors. I opened it very carefully so I can cut and reuse all these great images! The inside of the package was just as festive with pretty gold spattered tissue paper, assorted colored silky leaves and pretty wrapped gifts! I received 6 sheets of great fall colored cardstock in eggplant, sage, terra cotta, beige, tan and plum. I love these colors and can't wait to make some goodies with them! I got not 1 or 2 but 3 sheets of stamped fall images. Two stamped on beige papers and one stamped on glossy white paper. The images are so cool, scarecrows, haunted houses, leaves, ghosts, turkeys, apples, pilgrims and more. These are fantastic!!!!! What a beautful layered card I received too. My SIL and her friend were over and watching in envy as I went thru all the goodies. You should have heard the oos and ahhs when they saw this card! It came in a nice brown kraft paper envy stamped with assorted fall leaves. The card itself was also on brown kraft paper which had been stamped with many leaves and than has a layer of green corrugated paper on top. FInally there is a scarecrow and some raffia attached to the green paper. What a beautiful combination!!!! I received way more than 12 fall stickers and got great designes like pumpkins, leaves, oh and some farming teddies (LOVE em!). There was also leave confetti sprinkled in the bag and all the other bags in my package too! Halloween candy treat, hmmmm, let me think. I finished it up tonight and if you knew how many goodies my gal gave, well lets just say I've been a bit of a gluten but its been great!!! All my favorites too, choc covered rasins, 100grand bar, jelly beans and more!!!! Loved them all!!!! Oh I love my something sparkly to trim cards with! I got a bottle of round gems that was wrapped in pretty teal paper and trimmed with a gold leaf sticker (how clever!). I've never had any of these before. They are so pretty, I can't wait to use them and already have all sorts of ideas!! I got not one but 2 fall recipes and they both sound just scrumptious - Crockpot stuffing and Spiced Applesauce Cake! I love the way they are so neatly typed up and then layered on pretty paper stamped with leaves and finally laminated to protect the card. What a super idea! I'm a crock pot fanatic too so the stuffing recipe is perfect and the applesause cake is something I've been making for years so it will be fun to try a new variation! Thank you, Thank you!!!!! I got some neat colored EP from JudiKins called Jasper. It looks like rust with flecks of gold, can't wait to try this one out! OOOO my fall stamp is soooo cool and I got a bonus as it could pass for Christmas too! :-) My stamp is 4 in 1 with an acorn, a leaf, a snowflake and a group of snowflakes! I love it! I got 2 sheets of printed tissue paper and they sure are fancy! One is a holographic blue and the other is a shimmery gold! I've never seen any like this, they are absolutly gorgeous!!! My specialty card/instructions is using Toomuchfun's ORBITS. Its a neat stamp that you make into a 3d ornament! My magnet is so pretty, a country girl surrounded by flowers! It sure is pretty! I got the coolest package of buttons and this is especially welcome because all my buttons got accidentally packed in a box somewhere and who knows how long before I'll find them! Theres a really nice sunflower decoration in here too! Everything was put in a plastic bag and then a nice header was put on top and stamped wuth a sunflower. Another great idea!!!!! I can't wait to sit down and relax with my Suisse Chocolate Truffle Cocoa! This sounds too yummy!!!!!! I also got some great orange paper ribbon, my first ever paper ribbon!!! Then I got a bunch of other pretty paper and some adorable fabric pumpkins, spiders and bats!! Thank you, Thank you to Theresa Eiermann!!!! Not only do I love all the goodies you sent but I was really touched by the thought you put into decorating every last part of my package to make it extra special! I couldn't have asked for a better package, everything is absolutly perfect!!!!!! Thank you very very much!!! :-) :-) :-) and on and on.........................................................
