Linda Sobolewski sent a mauve colored card with a layer of off whilte and then a nonsequitur stamp on vellum---colored with markers I beleive. Very nicely done. An unidentified card---white cardstock with a black glittery emnbossed edge and the vellum is stamped and eblossed with black a postage like stamp---wti a hand with a heart patch stitched on it and the words when I give to you what I make with my hands I share my heart. Very nice. Next I received a card on pale pink card stock with an overlay of vellum---stamped and embossed with gold a basket of heart flowers. The basket and flowers are colored with markers and there is a pink chiffon bow at the top. Very neat looking. Love it. Sheila Palm made a card of pale green cardstock with an overlya o vellum. She stamped fern fronds on the vellum and cardstock and embossed them in ge=reen. A lovely shimmery white bow adorns the front of the card. Maria Gallagher did a burgundy cardstock card with a layer of medium blue mulberry paper and then a layer of vellum on which she stamped and embossed with black a little boy playing with 3 puppies. Very sweet Maria. Annette Cramers did a card in grey cardstock. A layer of vellum is put on it and the vellum has been edged in a narrow frame of gold. A spray of lavender and blue flowers has been stamped and embossed on the vellum and colored with markers I beleive. Very pretty. ANd I save my favorite for last. Connie Erndt made a card that is just exquisite. The cardstock she chose is textured---rather bumpy. Neat stuff. On the front she has attached a gorgeous stamped and embossed butterfly of vellum and colored it with the Tria aribrush system... I would love to know more about this, Connie. Truly it is a work of art. The butterfly was carefuly cut out and mounted on dots. It was embellished with just the right amount of crystal like glitter. Please Connie, email me and tell me more about how you did this butterfly. I wish to thank everyone who sent cards and also Suki for hosting this swap. And a lovely package it was too. You will all be soo jealous when you hear all the goodies I received from Kim. First of all I have to tell you there was a LOT of suspense leading up to getting the package in the first place. When I got home from work on Friday the 10th of Oct there was a yellow slip from the PO that they had tried to deliver a package but since I was not home I could pick it up at the post office on Tuesday (Mon was a holiday) so I had to wait all that time wondering who the packge was from and what was in it. Talk about a LONG weekend!!!! Well when I finally got it home and opened it here is what I found------------ neat little packages all wrapped in orange cellophane with witches, bats, pumpkins and ghosts on it. KEWL!!!!! She started off the package with a note that says she hopes I enjoy all the stuff she has picked out for me----BOY------DO I! Kim sent not 1, or 2, or 3, or----well she sent a whole box (8 packages) of my very fave hot treat----international coffees---yum-yum! Suisse Mocha, French Vanilla Cafe, Hazelnut and Irish Creme CAfe. I have already been into this. Kim, weere you peeking in my cupboards???? for the sunflower item Kim sent a bright yellow pillar candle (sunflower scented of course) tied with sunflower paper ribbon. Love it! A package of three different soaps. mmmmmm cant wait to try these!!!! paper ribbon with oak leaves and acorns, and fall vegies and fruits printed on it. Beautiful! Tissue papers---one with beautiful roses on it and the other is a brown gingham check. I have plans for using that one! Kim made me 3 magnets on her computer. All bright and beautiful. One has my name on it and us a 5 sided shap(NO I don't know the name of a five sided shape)LOL! It has a cluster of cherries on a blue arrow background. Next is a cute bear in a 9 sided shape, And last are hot air balloons in a rectangular shape. Thery are on the filing cabinet in the rubber room. for a sweet treat Kim sent a whole bag of candy corn. Haven't been into that yet as with wedding yesterday I haven't had a craving for sweets---BUT I WILL!!!! for something glittery she sent Prisma glitter---will maek great snow on winter cards. and for embossing powder she sent a big jar of copper from PSX! Her reicpe is for pumpkin bread and I can't wait to try it, as the recipe makes 5 mini loaves--which is the way I bake all my breads. Kim sent me $--yes I said 4 sheets of stickers. The first is fuzzy black cats andn mice---theese are soooo cute---have not seen them here!!! Next is a sheet of orange and black foil jackolanterns--I reqally like theese---and so does my 3 year old grandson!!! Then is a sheet of cute little children playing with pumpkins nad sunfolowers. Cute, and lastly there is a sheet of country stickers which look like stenciled items. Really nice collors too. Love these. My sheet of stamped images include bears---fishing, and playing football, and pumpkins and a moose in a hunting shack? and a bear lying in a hammock. Love these. Don't have any of these stamps. and for cardstock she sent 6 different colors, gold, yellow, burgundy, forest green, willow green and choc brown. Kims layered card is done on forest green cardstock. In the lower ledft corner is stamped "Love grows when shared". There is a cute little girl holding a daisy stamped on beige paper which Kim has crimped and them below is a square of crimoped beige paper and on top of it are sunflowers on beige paper again crimped and colored in. The surprise is when I opened it----it was a confetti flinger card---confetti everywhere!!!!! What fun. I just love it and Thanks Kim for a sample of how theese work. I had heard about them but could not picture in my mind's eye how they workied. Now I know---1st hand. LOL Her other card is layered----light brown background then a layer of soft orange cut with a deckle scissors and then beige cardstock stamped with a country woman in a pumpkin patch. There are colored in---perhaps with chalks? I like the way you did the bue sky and then stamped patchwork stars in it. Cute card. Thank you Kim for a wonderful pacakge and for making the fall scavenger hunt very special for me. I hope the person who sent to you did as great as you did. Over the fron os a lame` type fabric on whch Connie has stamped and embossed in gold, a celestrial figure playing the harp. Along to right side, she has attached a piece of gold lame type ribbon and somehow made it look ruffled. Gorgeous card Connie. Thank you! From Dragonfolk---a black box with a gold sun and silver stars embossed on it. Striking. Next from whom I know not as there is no name or anything on it comes a box the color of a brown paper bag stamped with various fruits and veggies and a sumflower. On the end flap is stamped"He who plants kindness gathers Love". A tag is attached with yellow raffia of a Garden Angel. Very nicely done. another box with no name is a pyramid box---inside is stamped a couple of bees and is says "Friendship warms the heaart". Each of the 4 flaps has a heart punched out of it to allow a ribben ofr something to be tied through to hold the box clesed. On the outside are sunflowers stamped and colored in on each flap and the background is colored green. Another box received is a blue heavy weight cardor cover stock which has been checker stenciled with white. There are pick hearts around the top. Neat. And last byut not least is a popup spring box byDi from Arizonia. She used a pretty hunter green foil with black roses printed on it to cover the box,. Really different. Thanks to all who played in this swap and to Suki for hosting it.
