She was from Holland so understood and wrote it correctly. Apparently someone who entered the copy decided it was wrong and spelled it HALL. I just didn't like the atmosphere when I was there either. Thanks Deni for hostessing this one! It was awesome. First Deni made this little thank tag...on tan marble like paper...with a leaf background paper cut with a deckle edge then a little mouse stamped on white paper layered on top of that...saying at the top says..Thanks for participating in our card swap. YOU ARE WELCOME! No name...boohoo....two little mice icing a gingerbread man...this was inked with black ink the colored in with markers on a fiber looking card. Very nice!!! These mice are too much. Linda Lloyd- on light green cardstock layered a tan speckled piece cut with a wavy scissors...then in black ink stamped the mouse sitting in the tree with the Fall leaves. She even colored in two of the leaves with Fall colors...little booger of a mouse is winking at me too. On the inside it says " A house is not a home without a mouse." Funny! ROTF Tonya Rilling - on dark green cardstock layered a piece of white cardstock on top...embossed in gold ep...the hummingbird in flight carrying the little mouse by his paws. Tonya water colored the hummingbird beautifully...and made the little mouse all brown. Very elegant looking!! Maureen Butcher - rinski@ap.net on white cardstock...layered on top with some neat wild background paper...with swirls etc on it. She ran a thin piece of ribbon down the side of the card on the fold. (neat idea by the way) then on velum she stamped the mice drinking out of the bottle stamp. She colored them in so great! Even made one of the mice have purple lips to match the drink. Then she layered the velum on a blue piece which is layered on top of what I described at first. She used glitter highlights on the straw and inside the bottle. On the inside it says "Have a grape day!" This was a lot of work..you deserve a pat on the back. Barbara Holl - On glossy cardstock inked in black stamped the two mice watching the sun/moon with their backs to us...their tails all twisted up together....sitting amoungst the weeds. Too cute! I love this image! She used Tria markers to color in and also used AIG system to highlight...absolutely gorgeous. Very nice. Thanks to all who did this...these were great! SO much fun too. Cant' wait to win the lottery to buy some more of these boogers...one stamp of these mice won't do! Hi Everyone, The 2 swaps I received Friday really got my week-end off to a good start! Will do my best to describe the Friendship Cards: Jennifer Hanes, Stampingly Yours Newtral colored cardstock. Layered on that is a deep mauve cardstock with rounded corners. Layered on that is a pretty and lighter shade of mauve very decratively cut on the corners. Sorry, I'm not familiar with all the edges and punches but this one is verrrrrrrrrrrr nice! Stamped on this layer is "Friendship is the Wine of Life" with a stamp of a wine bottle, two glasses sitting amidst a bunch of grapes and leaves. I've never seen this stamp and love it. Oops! Stamp credits say it's PSX. Should have guessed. I love their stamps. Inside she stamped a smaller version of grapes and vine in one corner. Very nice card Jennifer. Jackie, jmtate@aol.com White cardstock. She has layered the top part with what looks like some very pretty wallpaper. The bottom part has a white doily glued on. Layered on that is a teacup (I have this stamp and now another idea of what to do with it). She embossed it in gold and colored it in with very pretty colors of soft blue, yellow, orange which of course matches the wallpaper. She bent the cup just enough to slip inside a packet of "Orange and Sweet Spice Tea". LUCKY ME! Thank you Jackie! <3 Inside: stamped, "Our friendship is like tea, a special blend of you and me". Linda Neumann, LindaSueN@juno.com White cardstock. Layered on that a rectangle red cardstock. Layered on that white again. Stamped on the white are two cutest girl dolls with their arms around each other (no credits). They are both smiling like very good friends. They are colored in and she's added a blue bow in the corner. Inside: stamped, "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other is gold." Very nice card. ?????? Very pretty, soft yellow to gold color cardstock. It is decratively cut out on 3 sides. Layered on is a white rectangle also edged with fancy scissors. Stamped on is a set of birdhouses. Credits say Hero Arts. Is is softly colored and shaded with blues, greens, orange, etc. Very, soft and pretty. On top of the middle house sits a little bird singing. Inside: "Old friends are best friends" . I'd love to know more about this stamp and HOW you colored it in. Watercolor? Please e-mail me. ????? Red cardstock and I don't know how to describe it. It has indentations that make it look marbled. Layered over it is vellum, front and back. One corner is cut out with a heart punch. Stamped in the center is a pretty rose. The rose and leaves are embossed in two different colors. The rose being pink and the leaves a very soft blue? OK. How did you do this? It's very pretty! Thanks everyone for some outstanding cards, techniques and new ideas. Thanks Lisa for a great job hostessing. I LOVE MY SWAP CARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it's Azade Earlie or how ever you say it.... I hate them tricky names! I just love doing these cards. The fact that wallpaper books give you basically three matching sheets in different patterns, but matching color scheme (?) gives you the material to make a wall, rug/carpet & chair that all match..... Thanks for the Kudos tootsie! Glad you liked it & sure hope you be feeling better. ps....The Neuteress is into her third week working at a job she THINKS she will really like. No time, since it's a day job & putting in 50+ hours a week, but hey........ beats unemployment! :) Love to all & remember to keep them puppies NEUTERED! Kits too!
