Have you used these, and how do they compare with permanent stamping inks? It seems to me the plus would be they wouldn't stain your stamps and all; however, heat setting is one extra step no one particularly enjoys and no matter how careful you are it tends to warp paper- Your advice appreciated- ------------------------------ From: SHARP Date: Wed, 19 Feb 1997 05:41:20 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Friendship thought of the day 2/19/97 When you're with someone you trust in, never needing to pretend, Someone who helps you know yourself. . .You know you're with a friend. For several years, I've been blaming it on middle age, iron poor blood, lack of vitamins, air pollution, water pollution, saccharin, obesity, dieting, under-arm odor, and a dozen other maladies that make you wonder if life is really worth living. But now I found out, tain't that. I'm tired because I'm overworked. The population of this country is 200 Million. Eighty-four Million are retired. That leaves 116 Million to do the work. There are 75 Million in school, which leaves 41 Million to do the work. Of this total, there are 22 Million employed by the government. That leaves 19 Million to do the work. Four Million are in the Armed Forces, which leaves 15 Million to do the work. Take from that the 14,800,000 people who work for State and City Government and that leaves 200,000 to do the work. There are 188,000 in hospitals, so that leaves 12,000 to do the work. Now, there are 11,998 people in prisons. That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And you're sitting there reading this. No wonder I'm tired. ------------------------------ From: Darlene Sybert Date: Wed, 19 Feb 1997 10:54:39 -0600 (CST) Subject: Re: TAN: InkyAngels blood tests Dorothy, I've been on and off the list so much lately that (I'm guessing) I've missed the posts about the trouble you are having. From Holly Ryker: A great card on a deep bluish background. with snowflakes and let it snow in embossed white. Layered over background is a melting snowman, and a terrific sun by Posh. Terrific! From Linda Sobolewski: A wonderful stamp of 2 girls looking out the window at the falling snow. Linda colored the stamp in with beautiful colors. I love this stamp cause it reminds me of my 2 girls. Great Job! From Janet Kilback: A lovely card all in blues... A moon, a sleder and some wintered trees in blue and white. The scene is on light blue, layered over white, layered over a dark blue. A fantastic composition! From Debbie Anderson: I love this snowman! It's from dream a little. She put the snowman on white with black and white checkerboard. This is layered over black layered onto white card stock. The snowman has a hat and scarf in blue and at the top of the card is a deep blue ribbon that accents it perfectly. From Penney Gurrola: A truly original idea... I had never seen this kind of card before and my hubby and I spent some time dissecting it to figure out how Penney made it. The card is a picture frame with a pull tab at the top. A snowman on clear accetate is seen inside the frame. When you pull up the tab, everything comes up in color. It looks like she stamped the image, laid the plastic on the wet ink then colored the bottom image and attached the 2 images at the pull tab. Then she attached a piece of white to the card frame which separates the clear image from the colored one. When pulled up, the clear image lays exactly over the colored one. When down the white paper hides the coloring and makes a white background for the clear image. This is really neat and I'm sure I haven't done it justice in discribing it. I can't wait to share all these cards with my local stamp group! From the hostess, some great cardstock with clouds and a beautiful rainbow. Thanks! From Margaret Counts: A beautiful card trimmed with Fiskars I think. On the front some great clouds with glitter raindrops (neat idea I'll have to try), and "When it rains..." Then on the inside a perfect rainbow and heavenly clouds with the words "Look for the rainbow". Wonderful! From Stargazer: A beautiful glossy card with a rainbow stretched all the way across the cloud over a cloud background. Terrific card! Fron Cindy Piet: A neat cloud background with a rainbow she made on her computer (really artisitic) and a raised butterfly in wonderfully deep colors from Prisma! I need to add Prisma pencils to my wishlist! From Tebzil: A fantastic card with lots of elements... Pink cardstock, layered with pink corrugated paper, a angel on a moon stamp on pink cutout surrounded by a foil/silver embossed border. She also added 2 raised clouds and gold ribbon. A bow with a pink button in its center and gold ribbon on the inside of the card. The front has a 1/2 inch cut of to show the gold ribbon on the inside of the card. Also inside is the verse...If you can dream it You can do it. A truly great card with lots of ideas I want to try. From StamperKat: My very first card from StamperKat. Truly an original. A rainbow on the front with a cloud and a gold cutout saying "Who wants a pot of gold?" Inside a doghouse at the end of the rainbow with a puppy saying "All I want is a home!!" Just so you know... I have a puppy we saved after she was abandoned in some orange groves. She is fixed and she is the best dog in the entire world! This was a wonderful swap. Thanks to everyone!
