That word has been overused lately for every little thing that isn't outright agreement and optimism. My favorite description of flaming was made in a post by Dennis M McDonough: "Flame? Why should I? I don't think I've ever FLAMED anyone on this list. I've disagreed strongly, and been a smart-ass occasionally, but FLAME? Perhaps my understanding of the term is different than everyone else's, but I thought flaming was unadulterated, unabashed, malignant and venom-filled insulting vitriol, undisguised and unapologetic. I never engage in such activities...at least, not on *this* mailing list! ; )" So you see Lissa, you needn't have worried. : ) Feathers ------------------------------ From: Allison Crites Date: Sat, 22 Feb 1997 19:45:10 -0800 (PST) Subject: Re: Michael's Sale!! SORRY FOR SHOUTING, BUT IT'S SO EXCITING!!!!!:) I want to give all the details of this great package: My secret stamper enclosed, some fabulous acid free paper for either backgrounds or my photo album, she also gave me some cool recycled cards and envelopes--they're made from cotton scraps, clothes, textiles, and other products!!! Some pretty easter confetti in little bunnies, and chicks just in time for my cards I've got to make. From embossing arts - she got me removable/reusable tape for my stencils when I dry emboss which I LOVE TO DO! It was well-needeed. I got some beautiful blue satin ribbin, (one of my favorite colors) I can't wait to use it, and by Inkadinkado she got me some tan gift bags they'll be great to use with gifts that my daughters give when they are invited to parties, as I always make our own wrapping paper, they were also well-needed, and very exciting!!! I got some easter grass like stuff in pink in the box, can be re-used and some tissues in all different colors, I'll use them for wrapping paper. And some chocolate kisses, I love chocolate and was really craving some, needless to say I didn't share with my family. Now I'm not done yet!!! She really went all out, what a great, sweet, thoughtful, person she really knows me! She got me the battenburg fan stamp by Darcie's, and a huge beautiful rose stamp from Petaluma, Ca. I look in the Darcie's book and found a sample of how they were used together! A fan and the rose underneath it, too fabulous!!! I'm going to do my mother's day card in that! Thank you so much Secret Stamper, I can't wait to find out who you are, so I may do something special for you! I hope things are going better for you, and I wish you well!!!!
