I havent tried it but it seems it might work if the glue was applied carefully) Oh yes, I've thought of this one!! I make Y-Necks on a very fine gold chain and even if I get the rings tight, the little links can work their way through. Unfortunately, glue tends to crack off the metal ring. But these were jewelry items that lay against skin. Might work for a pin if it isn't handled or worn too much. I have found a technique that works well for me when I cut out an embossed image. First off, make sure you have a very SHARP blade in your exacto knife. I also purchased something which I use extensively when cutting... it's a little square of black rubber like stuff. I got it at Tandy Leather.... It's about maybe an inch think, softish rubber type stuff, self healing a bit. Anyway, it makes it very easy to cute things out on, you can "poke" your craft knife thru the cardstock and into the rubber, gives greater control. I just angle my knife away from the image I am cutting, still cutting close to the edge of the embossed image. I use more of a PUSH CUT motion rather than a DRAG and CUT motion with the exacto knife. I have never had a problem with my embossing peeling off when I cut out these images... Just a thought...give it a try. The black/rubberish quare of stuff I got from Tandy Leather was VERY cheap...and I use it all the time. When I watched, I was numb and tears flowed. Another teacher in the building had also applied so we hugged and cried. I still get tears when I think of that day.
