Turtle Man Frank's way cool Tortuga Isle card, I just love how you did the turtle Frank! Great island description! Cynthia Sillitoe's "Muse" card, lovely image, I really like the stamp, who makes it? Holly Holden's land of Norinsiki sounds like a wonderful place to reside! Loved the description. Paula Baymiller's page of postage looks like it came right from the Donald Evans book itself. Just beautifully done, and the colors are so vivid! This one is a treasure! Did you actually have a cancellation stamp made for your island? Thanks to those I have received...now I am anxiously awaiting the missing 13! Can we have an update on the ones still coming? My mother would say it was because people were jeolous of me because I was so pretty. I am in my late 30's now, Could this still be true? I'm not a mean person. I would do anything for anyone. Hi everyone! Well, I thought I had someone who was interested in the pens, but they have not responded to any of my messages, so I guess they changed their mind. So, the set of pens is once again for sale. It is the set of 36, barely used, double tipped (one end is a chisel tip, the other is a fine tip). They match the Prismacolor pencils and the rest of the Prismacolor line... pastels, chalks, inks, etc. I would really like to sell these so I can buy the stamps on my wish list. Please e-mail me for details. Here's my idea for identifying those unknown unmounteds from your early stamping days: I'm willing to "host" an Unswap for Unmounteds!!! Each person who wants to play takes an 8 1/2" by 11" piece of paper and stamps the 5, 10, or more unmounted images s/he doesn't have a company name for. Send these pages to me and I'll organize them into a folder or booklet and make a master list of all the players. Each stamper who receives the booklet writes by each image, in ink if positive ID, or in pencil if tentative ID, the name of the company s/he thinks made it. If this works out right, the last person on the list will send the book back to me and I'll take it apart and send the original pages back to each stamper. With any luck at all, most, if not all, of your Unknowns should be identified. (Does this make sense?) So, Here goes: The First International Unmounted ID Unswap HOSTED BY: Sunny Howard E-MAIL: tshoward@pacbell.net DUE DATE: April Fool's Day, 1997 MAIL INFO: include a 32-cent stamp Now for the bad news: I will be "unsubbed" from the list for about a week, so if you'd like to sign up, E-mail me privately and I'll send you my snail addy. WOW!! The Thank You swap came and these cards are fantastic! I LOVE them! There's some really great ideas here! I'm so glad I did this swap! I got a lot of cards so I won't describe them all, but I will describe a few of them....... by Cristi White a gorgeous colorful card of pansies?, with a border on the inside of the card and thanks! written 3 times in each of the 3 colors the pansies are in. This is such a gorgeous card I'm seriously considering using this same style for my simple and elegant swap. I really love it! Wanda-Flower Stamper Another gorgeous one! huge letters of THANKS in outline and inside is a specific design for each letter, with stars all around the THANKS word and ALL is embossed? with a sparkly gold. This was on a brayered? card of purplish/blueish/hint of pink-red, then this is on a navy card with a gold border around the edge. Very elegant and spectacular. ???? solid drawn leaves in yellow, orange and brown fills the entire cover of the card, and on a seperate white paper is Thank You cut out and put on a red background, and this is set in the center of the card with all the leaves on it. Beautiful, simple and elegant, just the way I love cards. This is one I'm gonna definately do coz I KNOW I can. thanks for the idea! Tracy Yamamoto On a white card stock is origami paper with a design on it in pinkish colors, and over this is "arigato" in green on a white card stock and cut out and placed over this origami paper, and in 2 corners is beautiful gold "corner" stamp. Very nice, simple and elegant. Lori Clemmons beautiful spray of leaves to the left of this card and an elegant Thank You to the bottom right, all on beige, and this is then placed on a green cardstock so that theres a perfect green border around the card. Very nice. I love this leafe stamp and have to have it! Lori, can I borrow this? :) Diane (?bowman?) very nice card! a border stamp, (in other words, a stamp of one specific design repeated over and over in straight line), this design is squares in sold/cut out with dots on the oustide of the squares. she put this on white card stock using a multi colored pad in pink/purple/blues/turquoise, starting at the corner and diagonal across the entire face of the card, and in the center in purple is an elegant Thank You-looks like a DOTS design. really nice. I'm definately gonna have to give this a try! Debra Wunderly On a clear plastic "paper" that is in the center of this card is an empty jar, and on border around this plastic is Thank You! repeated around, there's a tab with 'pull' on it, you pull it out and there's hearts inside the jar and of course some have spilt out of it, too! WOW! ingenous. I have no idea how to do this card but would love to know how. not that I ever would do it, i doubt I'd have time. love this card, it's GREAT! Lilly on blueish (just a hint of color) cardstock is embossed in silver "thank you so much" with a heart and babys breath just beneath the words. This is cut out on placed on white cardstock so as to make a white border. On the top of the hint of a color paper is the cutest girl in a gorgeous dress/hat/shoes and behind her is a huge heart box with ribbon around it. I love it! GREAT! WHERE did you get this girl, I gotta have her! Penney Gurrola On white cardstock is an elegant 'Thank You" that fills the cover of the card, and ontop of this is glued 3 different hearts of the same style but different designs, each on different colored paper embossed in gold. wonderful! simple and elegant. The hearts are from Hero Arts and I can't wait to get them! Thanks for the great idea, Penney! I loved this swap and it was great going through this packet! THANKS for the great ideas everyone! I have NO idea when I'll have time to do them, but when has that ever stopped me! :) Stargazer ------------------------------ End of rubberstampers Digest V2 #488 ************************************ To subscribe to rubberstampers Digest, send the command: subscribe rubberstampers-digest in the body of a message to "majordomo@xmission.com".
