A week ago this place looked as if a bomb had hit. There was stuff EVERYWHERE! Clothes, stamps, books, stamps, ep, stamps, paper, stamps, scissors, stamps (you get the idea). So I spent my ten days off trying to clean and organize, I washed floors, vacuumed, cleaned closets (used those space bag thingys from the infomericial-FANTASTIC!!!!!!!), dusted and really spiffed the place up. The only room I ignored was the stamp/office area, generally because that is a ten day project by itself, so it's easier to just turn off the heat and shut the door. The place looks great. So my resolution is to not let it get out of control again. I am forcing myself to pick up when I go to bed, make sure things are put away etc. I've made it thru 7 days!!!! The weird thing is, I don't get into cleaning and it's usually a low priority for me. I haven't quite figured out what's come over me - it might be viral. I must say i like how the place looks when it's picked up. Now I don't know how long this will last. Work is currently calm, I'm not involved in too many activities and I'm allowing myself the time I need to get things done. Let's see what happens when life speeds up again......... After an entire month of waiting, doctor appointments, crying, laughing and lots of reading about breast cancer, my decision to elect the mastectomy will happen. Now I'm beginning to feel nervous. Any positive comments would be great. I've received many, many wonderful RAKs, gifts and well wishes from the list members during this last month. Each and every one I cherish and thank you. Please keep me in your prayers a bit longer. I know I'm going to do fine: I'm healthy, happy and have a great attitude! University Art Center is at 126 Spear Street (directly across from the Rincon Center for the locals). It has stamps, ep's, ink pads, sealing wax, seals, scrapbooks and all sorts of arts & crafts stuff (pens, watercolors)-- it's sort of like a Pearl's ARts & Crafts but in a better neighborhood. I went there today (accidentally) and I came out with 2 STAMP FRANCISCO STAMPS. It's one of their newer images (the ones w/ children. I got one with a girl & her kitties. the other one was 2 kiddies sitting on a tree). I also got a geisha stamp from marks of distinction. If you're in the neighborhood, check it out!
