Koss" Subject: RS: Valentine Scavenger Hunt Rcv'd (Long) This is a rather bittersweet message. I just received my Valentine Scavenger Package and it is from Barbara Byrnes. Since her message this week about unsubbing because of ill treatment, I have felt that it seems very unfair for someone who is trying to make the list fun to be the recipient of other's lack of appreciation. Barbara, thank you for all the wonderful things in the box. To start, Barbara put the lyrics from the song "The Rose" down and embossed it with a gold rose. I always liked that song. Next, there was a rose pin with a crystal center. Very pretty. I will wear it a lot. The card for me had the word Love embossed in gold on the front and was on top of purple mulberry paper with "Love is all you need" inside and on the envelope. Really nice. I have to mention that DH was very interested in the contents of the box, especially when I took out the mug with the red candies in it. They're good. My stamp is a Ribbon Heart Frame from Posh Impressions. Having just mastered, or at least done, two ways to make shaker cards, I have just the idea for that. Plus my granddaughter's parents will be the recipients of a frame card, too. Barbara made an adorable card with a teddy bear on the front that was layered on top of a sheet of computer generated paper with love phrases and images. She included an extra one for me and instructions. I've already used that idea for my chocolate swap. There were 3 sheets of paper featuring roses to use for layering on cards. Very pretty. Barbara also include a sheet with the Love stamp she had used on the card and hearts that were used on the bookmark. I really like that Love stamp. I have seen it and want it one of these days. The bookmark had two gold embossed hearts cut out and layered on it with a piece of gossamer ribbon twisted through them. There was also a pink rose on top. I liked the way you twisted the ribbon. She stamped "A joyful heart is good medecine". It was very elegant. There was also an orchid cat's eye stamp pad. Pretty color and a container of red tinsel EP. I'm really going to have fun with my Valentine cards! For the magnet, Barbara stamped and laminated several women standing by a picket fence that said "When friends meet Hearts warm". What a nice sentiment. It's on the fridge! There were two sheets of tissue paper. One had a Victorian Valentine theme and the other was one that Barbara used to wrap each item in. Last but not least was the mechanical card. I got a kick out of this because we were in contact over getting the pattern for the pop-out heart only a little while ago. Mine pattern is still that. Barbara made hers using red tissue paper hearts and gold foil hearts layered on white CS that had been stamped with gold roses. The front has a rose on top and strands of glitter roped across. The middle heart (the one that pops out) has another small heart on it and the front and back hearts have I Love You embossed on them in gold. Thank you, Barbara, I'm going to miss your messages in the rubberstamp list. I hope you reconsider, but respect your feelings Pat Koss This message was from "Patricia A.
