It has cartridges you insert. One laminates both sides of your cards, pins, magnets etc, one puts adhesive with backing on one side(makes sticker paper, for layering, etc) and one laminates one side and puts adhesive with backing on the other side. One machine and you buy the cartridges you want. Tracey just did her part for craft-chatter. In answer to her question, this Newbie says "trim the rubber". Use a sharp, straight blade and trim off the sections that pick up unwanted ink. If the over-all square or rectangular shape is retained, it can still be used with a "stamp positioning" tool. If you're going to re-mount the rubber on wood or acrylic, the rubber will *still* need to be trimmed. An alternative method useful even with well-trimmed rubbed is to ink the stamp with a marker and make of point of *not* inking anything you don't want to print (be it edge of the stamp or be it part of the normal impression). Partial inking is right up there with "masking" among gotta-learn easy techniques. In my own Newbie opinion, those techniques are more vital that heat-embossing.
